One of the techs at FlowMaster that I talked to said that wrap is bad because of heat buildup / cooldown cycling. Said it can cause them to crack after time.

Also said moisture / rust was NOT an issue.

If he WAS right, I can't imagine that OBX - being pretty heavy-duty Stainless hardware, is susceptible, as is lower $ stuff.

Don't know either way, for certain here.........
