Just be aware that some 1987 truck blocks will have the stands cast in the lifter valley for the spider hold down but they may not be drilled and tapped by the factory.

Same with the cam retainer provision on the front of the block. It will be machned flat but won't be drilled.... or it will be drilled with the small bolt pattern.... GM used 2 different bolt patterns on the cam retainer for factory roller blocks. PITA sometimes.
