I am a fan of driving a car, not parking it. Engine seals need moved, oils need heat cycled, suspension bushings need flexed. If these things are allowed to just sit and rot, then you are back in the garage with a $2000 repair bill.

John even drove his 85 from Philly to central Delaware once - that's 80 miles... or how about the Philly to Boston run for the NCRS event? That's a haul!!! His 85 is drivable and original! Quite the achievement!


I like driving them too. I drove both the Vettes on a 350 mile round trip with no problems. One is 100% stock, the other is heavily modded. I'm actually challenged to give my cars a good ride. This post just reminds me it is time to break out the 90 for a couple of days to loosen her up a little. I like the idea of having an near original car. I also like the idea of having a custom car too, built up just the way I like it.
