The funny thing was, all the posts about it online mentioned what a PITA it is, but I assumed that was for the shadetree mechanic, it couldn't be that hard for someone like me. Ha! What a fool. IIRC this same jackass asked himself "what could possibly go wrong?" when contemplating taking his street car to the race track in the first place. Of course I went farther than most and replaced only the $129 pump instead of the full $404 bucket assembly. That probably added 5 hours of frustration. It took 4 evenings last week and every freakin' step was a nightmare. I'm including the three trips to Autozone to find a fuel line puller that worked, since none of mine did. Quick disconnect, my ass! |
