Add a cat back and you should feel better about things. The shifting does not surprise me. Remember, the gearbox is in the rear, which means the shifting is remote. That rod length takes away precision and feel. going aftermarket may help. Check the various bushes on the shifter and rod, too. I have driven a lot of cars and the ZF6 is one of the nicest manuals ever made. Add the Hurst shifter to it and it is about perfect. The stiff suspension is the price you pay for a Z06.  I also hate the seats. |
