Subject: Dammit, what is it with me and exhaust? by Notorious on 2008/1/27 15:01:01 I can never make up my mind which system I like best on my car. I need two more Vettes so I can use them all. I'm currently running a custom set-up with Corsas out back. It sounds good and is very quiet inside the car at highway speeds. Certainly no complaints there. I also have a Power Effects system which I like. I love the look of it's tips, they're unique and very cool. It also has great sound and in fact I always got the most compliments about how bad-assed the car sounded when I was using it, especially at the track. It was okay on the highway too, but did have a bit of resonance around town, even with the mufflers on the quietest setting. Not unbearable or constant though. I also have a modified stock LTx system with an X-pipe in place of the resonator. It's the quietest of course but still has a great sound, just more subdued. Lots of folks have told me it sounds really good too, and I agree. Ahead of this I have long tubes and high flow cats. And I'm just as bad about headers. I currently have two sets, the SWs I'm using and a set of DRMs that I've used in the past. Both stainless, both top quality, both keepers. But now I want to try a set of those 4-2-1 headers.  Is there like a support group or something for folks who are addicted to exhaust modifications?  |
