Subject: Engine compartment clean up by DaleD on 2008/2/18 17:26:16 I know this has been discussed to death, but what the heck? I can't drive my car until it warms up, and I am interested, so here goes. My plenum and runners look pretty crappy. Valve covers aren't good either, but the plenum and runners are more prominent, so that's where I'm going first. I figured I'd get a dremel and use it to grind/polish the plenum. Good idea? Additionally, my oldest lost my dremel. So he gets to buy me a new one. Where is a good place to get one? Ebay? Finally, I'm going to paint my oil pan, should I avoid painting the flanges, I don't think it matters, just being sure. I'm going to use black engine paint on it. Oh, and finally, what gasket do you guys recommend? Ok, that should do it for now. |
