I see Biden is wanting to raise the Capital gains taxes from 10 to 20% which are way to high to 44.6% for the highest wage earners..... all added taxes come back on us the middle class... as if we are not taxed enough already.... why are there any of the so called death taxes such as capital gains probate and inheritance taxes....?? sunsabiches... find any way you can to hide what you got... Revocable Living trusts may be a way to avoid some of what they want to steal from your kids.... Rainy and cooler here.... I went into the Star City to meet my most lovely #3 granddaughter Marceline.... Like her Pap she enjoys a good nap... barely opened her eyes.... both she and Mom will be headed home later today or in the morning...they do some tests after 24 hours if all checks out they will head back home. G-Ma is staying over for a few days to help out...

yeah Gris.... not the cars fault...battery charger...geez.. it was probably made in China....glad you found it.... I'm not a big fan of battery maintainers I do keep one on the HD and it is from HD.... but I unhook neg cable on the cars if they sit for awhile or like overwinter then charge them up with a charger before use.

sunny and colder here.... get this blip over and much warmer time coming.... changed out the rear end lube and tranny lube yesterday on the 64.... I wanted to put in my new stuff to get things started off right. Used an 80W90 dino in the rear... Detroit Locker says no synthetics.... and Royal Purple 75W90 in the 4 speed gearbox....

Got the correct step up springs in the carb so the fuel enrichment circuits are fully closed at idle.... went with a lighter spring set. cam is making about 9 lbs of vacuum at idle.... yeah.... normal cam is like 18 to 20.... car is more responsive and idles well.....

We did find what is making the rattling noise in the back... the shocks at the top mount are banging around every time the car moves.... got a new set of KBY gas shocks coming that fit the car..... progress one day at a time.....

I'm really liking that car..... best body style of all the Polara's ever.... it was a one year wonder.... as the 65's went back to being a big boat family car..... mine's a keeper... getting the front end aligned today.... got the OD unit back to working which is a good thing wid a 4:10 rear gear set up..... have done a lot of work to it.... it has sat since 2012.... gots da big motor ya.... been watching carb tuning vids on the U Tube.... gonna dial it in....

Thanks Teeb.... it's getting there... like I said before the car itself is like new due to a rotisserie restoration of the original California car. Which I'm told was almost rust free to begin with. The drivetrain is all there but not very streetable when I got it. fixing that now... makes me smile when I see it....love the lines...

I'm thinking of doing a 64 theme to my small but insignificant collection... I got the 64 Honda 250 Scrambler and now the 64 Polara....so next should be the 64 Corvette... right?

Nice day today with very little wind.... been working on the 64... think we got the flickering headlights figured out... got all the amp drains found and corrected.... only losing about half amp of drain when the lights are on....

also found the tail of the tranny is sitting on the crossmember... which would add not good vibrations to the chassis... slowly getting the car dialed in... got on the new sun visors...... progress....

yesterday I had to run to Speedway in the Star City for some parts....while there I stopped by the kids house where my wife was making curtains and painting a wall..... I took over the painting and was there until around 3 then back home and then my friend across the section called and needed help putting his 99 Suburban 6.5 turbo diesel engine back together... had a valve broke and decided to take both heads off to redo the top end... about 250K miles on it got home about 8:30 last night and was wore out....

Rainy and damp and in the mid 40's today.... got my own work in the shop getting the new carb sorted out on the Dodge...

got the trunk done in the 64 and the new cover in it... looks good I think. took about 300 bucks worth of Dynamat to cover the vastness of it... it should help with road noise and make the kick ass stereo sound better whenever I get that in.... next is to finish getting the bench seat back in place is is fighting me every inch of the way... you can't hardly get to the bolts that bolt the seat to the the floor mounted seat brackets..... I suppose the seat should have been mounted to the brackets first and the whole thing put on and bolted to the floor...... hmmmmmm.....

I swear those cars have shrunk inside over time.... moving the bench seat back 2".... doesn't sound like much but it helps.... also the new Edelbrock carb came in so will begin that transformation..... I don't care if we paid everyone several hundred thousand dollars a year.... my question is how you gonna pay for it... Taxes? How is that working out for them.... every 100 days another day older and deeper in debt.... I know make the rich pay for it.... oh wait the rich just moved their money offshore.... hmmmm..... wait we will call the middle class rich and get it from them.... and that is what they have done.....

we don't really make that much but I have an LLC that I can write off stuff used in the business.... expenses, the truck and such... but some of the tax rates are in the 25% range and some will be over that..... We took money out of savings to pay off the house this year and that is going to bite us big time..... I don't trust the stock market so did not want to see that evaporate when we could put it into fixed assets and live in it...... especially with the socialists wanting everyone to be broke and dependent on them.... asshats....

the word taxes makes me feel all sick inside..... I hate the word.... I hate the IRS... who the hell has the right to take 35% or more of your hard earned money...? I'm all about paying my fair share but our idiots in power in their wisdom have decided its ok to run a Trillion dollars in the hole every 100 days..... ya.... every 100 days.... there is like 3 and half of those every year..... It's a black hole and we all keep throwing our money in to it.....

Hell... the Boston Tea Party was because of a 3% tax and we stand idlily by while they take us for at least a third of our yearly income.... and then there is State taxes and fuel taxes and sales taxes.... the air that you breath taxes.... Spent the day in the shop working on the 64....putting Dynamat in the trunk and assorted small things need attended to... waiting on parts to make some bigger changes. I had Sebring on in the shop and was disappointed when the #3 car running 2nd in class with 6 minutes left was hit from behind and spun out of the race..... they looked good up till then... #4 car out earlier with clutch problems.....

Ok...... went in for a checkup and bloodletting this morning... all turned out well.... got some areas froze off wid da liquid nitrogen which its cheaper with my regular Doc then going to the skin Docs. Also got an allergy shot which my hay fever has been at 9 out of 10 lately.... cedar tree pollen.... bad chit mon.....
