I may be wrong on this but I thought you only had to replace the shims on the ring gear bearings in the same order as you took them out when installing a locker. If the lash is greater, you may have to add a thicker shim. You don't mess with the pinion gear?

Just rolled in from Las Vegas Saturday night, have to get all the Chrismas stuff put away for next year. I'm planning on going 4 wheelin up in the Superstious Mountain range down by San Diego Jan 18 & 19. There is about 4 or 5 of us from work with Jeeps going down to meet the other 50 or 60 from different areas. I'll be sleeping in my tent, they won't let me sleep in the motorhome cause I snore??? I've never heard myself so I don't understand why?

Ahhhh, yes I do have to appologise for that. I did have a camera with me but would have looked like a middle-aged pervert taking pictures of the girls. It's difficult to take pictures in a Casino, lots of people don't want their picture taken and some Casinos will ask you to refrain. You'll just have to go and check it out for yourself.

Ok, so I got back home Sat . night. Had a great time gambling , drinking, and getting back to my room round 3:30 every morning. I'm a light weight by Las Vegas standards. The simulator was the best I've been on, It gives you the feeling of excelleration and lateral G's. The visual was a little less than most PC's. It cost $20.00 for 5 min, or you can buy it for $15,000 and have it sent home. I do have to mention the selection of beautiful Hookers on the street. Classy good looking, expensive, and fun bunch of girls if you can afford them. You can't beat the cocktail waitresses, holy smokes!!!!! the girls at the RIO were wearing, what appeared to be a thong with a black see thru........oh never mind wouldn't want to do that to you guys.

Hey ! there ya go Casey!!! There are only a few cars that have a classical design, Porsche, Ferrari, you'll always know what they are years after production. Even popularity of remake nostalgic Muscle cars Camaro, Challenger, Mustang will fade after five years or so. You have a beauty of a car in it's original form and like a beautiful woman, sometimes too much make up or jewelery can make her look cheap.

I did something similar a few years ago, transitioning from having something to show at the end of the day to nothing in hand. You'll find your affecting more people and hence getting more done at the end of the day. I have a 96 with about 120,000 mi, what should I be doing to make it last longer, or how much longer can I expect it to go. Can I shift it on the track?

Strange, I've been messing with a window problem and was draining my battery occasionaly. At one point when the battery was way low the blower motor would run, ASR light came on, and a "tivking" comming from the dash boadr?? etc. Someone told me it was because the batt. was low and the relays were clicking??

It's been about a year and a half since I've been to Caesars so I don't remember. I do know that the exotic car mueseum was free at that time and now it's $25.00. I've heard that they had an F-1 car with the simulator connected to the shifter, throttle steering wheel, etc. I'll be there for awhile, the whole city is a big kids play ground. That is if you don't get hooked on the gambling, booze, or strip clubs. Moderation, my friends everything in moderation and you should be ok. I'll try and post some pictures when I get back, If I figure out how to do it.

you can head up the LVIS and check out the Shelby American factory/museum. That's a good trip...

The Wynn has a Ferrari dealership... if you own one and bring the reg it's free to get in, for the rest of us stiffs, it's 10.00... but worth it.

How do I get to the Shelby mueseum?

I'd been to the Wynn but didn't have a chance to see the Ferrari's, $10.00 sound good to me. I don't think they have anything in the Wynn for less than $50.00
Thanks

Yeah, the bad thing is he thinks he is good at it. Right before he went to jail he won $5,000. He also told his kids he dont want anything to do with them and that he hates their mother. What a turd to say stuff like that.

Geeze! He's got it baddd. I seen it happen to meth & crack addicts never a gambler. Like most he'll have to hit bottom before he can get back up.

Good to be home from work, Had to write a construction specification for a project that needs a hellofalot more than the spec calls for. I was directed to write it, sheesh, when all is done and said I'll have to rewrite and include all the details that I have been asking for years!!!! Government work, "Let's do it twice" and spend more taxpayer $$$$ Don't get me started . I'm still messin with my windows , still can't get them to work. Although it's been cold around these parts and work has been burning me out so I don't get out to the garage much. That's all for now see you later. :thumbright:

I moved to a new home 3 yrs ago, no problems or should I say incidents. I don't miss them either, I dunno about the rest of you gents, but I don't put much faith in ghosts. There has to be a logical reason for most of these things. I think I would have to actually see something in the daytime(unassisted by drugs or alcohol) to begin to believe. By the way I don't do drugs and only drink (to excess) in Las Vegas.

Ok, I'm not electricaly inclined so I approach things from a mechanical point of vieW. I can cycle the motors directly, so they both go up & down. When I turn the key on the Driver side sw. get warm, and the circuit breaker gets hot? When i unplug the circuit breaker, then plug it back in it arcs. If I disconnect the driver side switch it dosen't arc. Is my problem in the drivers side switch? I cant find a "Window Control Module" in the door s. Does this year have one, and where the h#ll is it and the relay??

Lived in my first house a few years and when the family was in the den we would hear a childs footsteps running down the hall? The house was built with a crawlspace so you could hear the thump, thump, thump, of small feet. A little scary at first, I'd get up and check the hall, and of course no one was there. After a few years of this I'd yell at the kid to got to bed and be quiet........ It stopped every time? It didn't happen every night, but when it did it was creepy.

Heading out to Las Vegas Jan 1-4, I've been to Caesars car show when it first opened up, really nice but a few years ago. I've heard since that they have one of the best F-1 racing simulators there? Any truth to it? Anyone?, Anyone? I'm going for a small vacation, and hope to get some 4 wheeling in, and to work my "System" on the roullette wheel. I'll report back with the results Good, Bad, or Ugly.

Where are you, Ramrod? As I said, I am in Torrance.

We did the LBGP on Saturday last year, for the ALMS event. Great fun! We plan on doing it again!

I'm out Pomona Valley way. I've been going to LBGP for some time, geeze I was out there when the were runnin Formula 1 if that's any indication. I've been sitting out at the hairpin along the beach and park in the sand by the Yardhouse. I know a guy in the "Comittee 300" that works the event, he gets some good pricing on the 3 day event with a pass to a private party by the hairpin. Give me a call next April and we'll see if we can set you up. That's right about the ALMS there's nothing like a C6 going through the gears around that turn and down that straight.

I'm in for a set of bearings in Jan. I could also use a cross - brace, front tapered bearings, camber brace, another LT-4, etc. I registered long ago, but the slow speed was killing me. Much better now and the response time is great. I've had my 96 for about 3-4 years I've bent and busted a few knuckles, so if I can assist anyone with a little info I sure will. Nice to be here in the company of Corvette People.

From the comments I suspect that both of you gentlemen are leaning towards keeping the LT-1 and putting the $$$ into a track car. Anyone got a 96 LT-4 Blk on Blk, 6 Sp. Lo. Mi, reasonable $$ for sale or trade?
Case, Bogus thanks for your input, I'd like to invite you both over to afternoon of garage talk and B/S session sometime, beers on me.

My 96 is a weekend driver/track car, and working on it is my therapy and hobby.
A C-6 would be a weekend driver and sometimes DD I don't think I would put it on the track for some time.

It has a 4L60, has anyone put a 4L60 on a track?

I have a 96 LT-1, I enjoy working and driving it. I bought it as a hobby car, nevermind I always wanted one since I was 15. I'm debating the purchaes of a C-6, now I can't afford both, what would you do? Build the 96 or get a newer C-6???
