Zurich ZR-13 reader Chevrolet OEM Enhanced, 40 DTC

P0100-(1/40)

https://www.dmv.de.gov/VehicleServices ... ections/pdfs/dtc_list.pdf

The 1-40 codes are listed on my reader, most conflict with another, high voltage vs low voltage, high temp vs low temp etc. I suspected a bad PCM or a bad ground? Long story longer I took it to a reputable mechanic in Claremont, Ca for smog certification, they recommended new injectors I said OK. About 4 days and $$$$ they can't figure it out and suggest I throw more parts at it to fix and still no smog certification.

I'm in Montclair, not too far away. The DTC 65 is a "Cable Adjuster Circuit Malfunction" I suppose a mechanical failure in the servo could cause a short in the electrical?
The first part of the trouble shooting flow chart requires that the cable adjuster assembly be rotated by hand without any cables attached and allowed to return to the stop. Mine doesn't return to the stop, made me think there is a recoil spring in the servo??

Im trying to find a solution to my Module 9 Code 65. The first step is to disconnect ASR servo pigtail, second disconnect "All Cables from cable adjuster, rotate cable adjuster cams fully and release to stop. When I do Nada! it dosen't return to stop? Ive checked the wiring harness form front to back and haven't found any visually broken or bad connections, so Im looking at a bad servo or replacing the EBCM? anybady got a spare one to try out?

Does the ASR servo on a 96 LT-1 have a recoil spring that returns it to stop?

The weather is great here in S. Cal., so good all the bums migrate here for the winter. It only takes one cardboard box to make a bed in this climate. I don't think the job market is much better than anywhere else. I mean starting pay at Mc Donalds is $25.00 an hour, but if you consider that a quart of milk cost $1000.00 you get the idea. Working for the govt. is feeling the pinch too, two days with no pay and the loss of two holidays to start off, maybe layoffs in the near future??? Things suck hope they get better.

I've had one for about four years, it gets the small stuff done quickly and if you go with multiple passes after grinding it works well on the semi thick stuff. Not a bad starter rig. I don't use any gas with it just the flux core, kinda messy but that's what the grinders and wire brush are for.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of the new pistols or revolvers they have out today. You have to shoot as many as you can as often as you can to get the "Feel" for the one that fits your hand and has the most natural point and shoot. Can you pick it up with one hand and have it fit without fiddling or fumbling? do you shoot one hand or two? have you tried a revolver with a speed loader? We have an outdoor range that does different competitions on weekends, Steel Challenge, Combat, etc. it gives a good indication of reaction time, accuracy under some stress(a timed event) and the opportunity to try diffrent types of guns. Ask around at gun stores or go to the NRA website.

I have a few pistols and revolvers in my collection, and I find that my 2" S & W 38 Special is my favorite. E-Z to clean, few mechanical gizmos, E-Z to check if it's loaded and E-Z to carry. It dosen't have the initial stopping power or the capacity of other pieces, but it's the one I'm most comfortable with when I'm out.

6:49 am here, I had my hours changed and have a little too much time on my hands in the mornings before I get to work. A little cloudy but should clear up later. I got moved up the ladder last week and found out that I don't have to punch in or out, long lunches and only one Boss to report to. I'll be heading out to Superstitious Mts and Laughlin on 4 wheeling trips in the next month. Superstitious Mts. is the winter training camp for the Blue Angels, so we'll be getting an airshow while were out there. Have a good one.

I did a little reading, and the "H" is for History and "C" for Current. I managed to clear the CCM codes ----. I'm guessing maybe a bad battery??? I'll run it this week and see if they come back. BLADE I used the pages from the FSM you posted a few months ago, thanks again. I need to get one myself, but I need to buy shocks and a water pump for the Jeep, and a trip up to Horse Shoe Bend, Ariz. are keeping my wallet light thesedays. Thanks for the help.

I'm getting H-31 through H-38 ?? Can anyone decipher and point me in the right direction? The car seems to be running without any noticable problems? "SYS" flashes on the speedo every so often, but isn't effecting the operation.

Scoty's Castle is North of this area, hmmmm maybe 60 miles or so? If you didn't get off the highway, you missed the best part. Come on out next November, bring a Jeep, you won't regret it.

Don't get me started on the picture thing, too late!

Manson kitchen, the fridge wasn't there two years ago, there's a picture of Mansons face that has "Free Charlie" under it? Guess there's some Manson groupies still around.
The hill in one pictures is called "Stripped Butte" it's stripped with black, gray, white, and browns, etc it just sticks out of the desert??? Lots of strange stuff to see, gold, silver and tungstent mines that go way back and up into mountains. Fall is about the best time to go out there, spring is good too, but you have to watch the weather.

Just got in from Death Valley and boy are my feet sore! Ha! Ha!.... Got a few pictures I'd like to share with you, I've been going out there for the last five years in November for the "Panamint Valley Days" four wheeling. It never ceases to amaze me how much there is out there to see. Gotta be a desert nut I guess. I have a few picture from 6000', 8000', & friends, and of course Charlie Mansons hide out. I have a pictures of the inside of the cabin if you're interested.

Racisim will be a Big issue for the next president and the country. I think it's a corner we'll be turning and showing a new face, good or bad it's a matter of evolution and change. Some people can roll with the punches and some can't,

"Will all White Folk report to the nearest cotton field for orientation!" I didn't vote for Obama, I just heard that at work, there was this guy (Black) on tv last night that had a t shirt with Obamas face on it and just underneath was H.N.I.C. I damn near died laughing!!!!
You got to have a sense of humor, hell we had a clown in office for two terms!!!!

Cool pictures, nice to see that part of the country. I've never been out that way, thanks. I'll post up a few of Death Valley next week, completely different landscape, but still cool to see.

Just caught up with the postings. sorry to hear it. I have heard from a few others that made it through most of the process, only to be turned down at the very last. Keep banging away at it! Persistance pays off how bad do you want it?

I've been up to Monterey two years and it never dissapoints. I meet up with some folkes and we caravan over the hill on a twisty road to the track. This year I passed a parked CHP on the hill. I told one of the guys that we needed to slow down on the way over. He told me that the cop was a Vette owner and knew we were comming, and was there to clear the road! Not as many in the corrale this year as before but they were sharing some of there stuff and were pretty cool. Lots of stuff to do up ther that weekend. We should cruise on up next August, need to get rooms early, they sell out Monterey and Salinas.

The time to get rid of it is when you are tired of it? Think of it now, some cars have body off restorations completely rebuilt and like new. If you enjoy fixing it and driving it then you can't throw enough money at it. If it uses too much gas, rides rough, makes noise, it may be time.
