Had a busy weekend. Two different parties (belated) for RR#1's bday. A good time was had by all. She made out like a bandit, of course.

Taking care of some chores today, need to get the grass cut before I pick the kids up from school.

Been busy this morning. Put together a shelf for RR#2's room which wasn't too bad (certainly no hand made dresser but I didn't have TB as a grandfather). Wife chopped the head off of a sprinkler last night so I ran over to Lowes and picked up a new one (two, actually....never hurts to have a back up). Pulled the battery out of the Corvette and just picked up a replacement for that, as well.

Warm here, expecting rain later.

The month is really flying by. It has warmed up since yesterday. Mid 80s but a little overcast.

Gris, new hearing aids just sound like an excuse for your wife to be more things to do. If you never heard her say it there is always plausible deniability.

Speaking of the dentist, Gris... The dentist told my wife she needs a retainer for overnight. He told her it's $850 because it's not covered by insurance. She couldn't believe the price so she went online and found a company that does it for $90 through the mail. So then we asked our cousin who works for a different dentist (not near us) and she said that price was insane. They only charge about $150 if the patient is paying cash. What a joke.

RR#1's dance recital was a success. All of the girls did well. Celebratory ice cream was in order afterwards.

Gris, sounds like you need a battery operated blower. Works great for that. Although I remember as a kid sweeping the moss off my grandmother's roof in the woods...only a broom and some elbow grease would work for that.

RR#1 has her first dance recital today. Should be a nice time. She's excited.

Great day out.

Drove the Vette the other night and was having some electrical gremlins. I think it might be the battery but I have to do some checks.

We've had a giant crack in our concrete patio for as long as we've lived in the house. We've talked about fixing it but never got around to it. This week they are replacing the sidewalks in my neighborhood so I talked to the company and they came by to give me a side job estimate. I liked the price so they started right away and they are in the process of removing the bad section and will repour on Monday.

Wife and I had some errands to run this morning. It coincidentally took us close to a little car dealership that I wanted to go to since last week. They had a convertible fox body Mustang listed online and it looked super clean in the pictures. So we drove out there to check it out. An absolute pile of shit that was completely misrepresented. I couldn't believe how bad of condition the paint, top, and interior were in compared to what the photos online showed. That guy certainly used some creative angles to make it look good. The car was listed for 10.5 I wouldn't give them four. Absolute joke and waste of time.

Weather took quite a turn here and changed from cold to hot in a day. Not complaining but would have liked a short spring.

Grass wasn't too long but the mower did a nice job. Didn't even use half of the battery to do the whole lawn. RR#2 did most of it himself, only struggled in a few spots with tight turns. So far I'm impressed.

Battery powered lawn tools are the way of the future, John. I already use the Milwaukee trimmer and blower. Had the Milwaukee lawn mower not been $1100 I would have bought it. But Ego is supposed to be the leader in this right now so can't go wrong with them. I'm looking forward to trying it out. Ego also makes a well-regarded snowblower but I'm not sure if it can compete with my Toro gas blower.

Raining and cool here. It was clear this morning so we got some yard work done including cutting the lawn. The mower is on it's last leg and I've been debating picking up a new one. I've wanted to go battery for a while but the Milwaukee mower I want is just too much. So instead I just went and picked up the Ego self propelled 21" with 7.5 ah battery. $150 off regular price on sale. They've been around the longest and seem to lead the pack. Should be just fine for around the house.

I got the Trans am out of winter storage today. I dropped that off at my buddy's shop. Ceramic window tint, a new backup camera, and the whole top end needs to be painted. I'll be walking away about $3,000 lighter. Great. But things that need to be done.

It's a very nice day today. Sunny with no rain. The wife and I ran some errands and she's doing some gardening now.

Time for a workout soon.

A day slipped by and that turned into almost a week that I haven't posted. Been busy, sorry.

Letty, sorry to hear about the car. Glad the insurance company finally got around to calling you. They work in backwards ways. Don't forget to file a claim with them for diminished value. Once that accident hits the Carfax the value of your car just dropped. There is a guy who does it professionally I think he's in South Carolina but he does it nationally. I believe he charges a $400 flat rate and will deal with all of the drama for you. I can get his name if you want it.

Had taekwondo class this morning. We're in the process of moving and sorting out a new permanent building so it was just him and me. Apparently he thought it was a good day to torture me with cardio. Whatever he was trying to do it worked.

Was a glorious, beautiful day here weather wise. Wife found outdoor chores for me, of course. The grass is cut, the garden is rototilled, the snowblower is run out of gas, the shed is cleaned out and organized. I need to stop by home Depot tomorrow and pick up a few items for some additional tasks.

Plan on taking the car out later. RR#1 has her final night play performance with the other Broadway hopefuls. Wife went the other night so it will be me and grandma watching the show.

I hope everyone had a nice Easter. We had a nice dinner at my in-laws' house. Not a very large party but it was enjoyable. Food was great. My wife talked to her cousin today and she said they had dinner at Fogo de Chao which is a Brazilian style restaurant by us. Only five of them so it didn't make sense to have a big party. Sounds good to me. By the time you factor in set up time, cooking time, clean up time..... A restaurant sounds more and more appealing.

Cold here again. We have some light snow or hail going on.

Muggy here. Warm at 69* but cloudy and we had a good storm roll through earlier. It's wreaking havoc on my sinuses. Had a nasty migraine last night.

RR#2 has a math competition this evening after school. Don't know much about it as he doesn't share much info. Apparently parents are not allowed to watch but can come to the awards presentation afterwards. Weird. My wife will attend. Hope his team does well.

Not as warm here today as yesterday but still pleasant. Tomorrow will be warmer.

Need to get the Honda over to the dealer this week for an oil change. I thought I might need some pads but I checked those out today and everything looked good.

Hopefully I can get the TA over to the body shop this month, getting the hood repainted from sun damage to the clear coat. Can't wait.
