I put DRL Switchbacks on my car last weekend,

OK, installed the V-Led 6k Switchbacks this morning, took 45 minutes for the pass side, mostly figuring stuff out, i.e. mounting etc, and 15-20 for the driver side, pass side is tight, driver side is wide open,,,I did not connect the dimmer

I removed the tire on each side for easy access, short story = no hyperflash AND I have Eagle Eye turn signals in the rear.

Since the V-Led box gets hot, I put this DEI insulation onto the sidewall and mounted the V-Led box onto it.

I actually saw cut .062" bell housing spacers, and added 2 and 3 stacked to the block and bought longer dowel pins to put into the back of the block and it still did not work for me like I wanted

Thanks guys, I'm hoping the paint stays on, it is sandwiched between Hi-Temp primer and Hi-Temp Clear Coat, if it does not, then I will have them powder coated .

I will say that the speed bleeders made the bleeding process totally a piece of cake

Yeah,, I do scratch my arms a lot,

I'm 56 and all of my energies are going to be about building a Pro Street car next

It's gonna be, something from late 50's to late 60's era, a 67 Belvedere, or a 67 Nova, or a 65 GTO, maybe a Hemi, definitely going to be a big block, tubbed, bagged, shortened axle,

Gonna be my last Hurrah with my son before he moves on in life

Done for 2014, however..... I will be helping a buddy install Ported Heads and custom grind cam in his 2007 Supercharged 645-rwhp / 575-rwtq White C6.

Never done heads and cam in a C6 so this will be a first for me. He is looking for more TQ so we will see what happens.

What THAT said, with this new found experience....I will be installing a Lingenfelter GT12 cam, valve springs, balancer, and probably other "stuff" in the spring.

And YES, I am leaving it stock, whatever that means. OK so I lied, whateVer.....

I used a Hi temp 1200 degree Primer, then the Orange, then 500 degree ceramic clear coat, I am hoping for the best regarding the orange not being hi temp.

I'm leaving for the Hot Rod Power Tour Monday and have one last project

Friday I will begin to remove all 4 calipers and prime, paint and ceramic clear coat them, in addition to adding Speed Bleaders and Goodrich (sp? )SS Brake Lines.

Since my car is DSOM, I don't want to match the color exactly so I opted for Mango Tango Toxic Orange which is a Chrysler color.

Side by side the paint is more orange and the DSOM is more red on top of Hi-Temp Gray Primer, I also will consider painting the Corvette letters black before I clear coat. I want the letters to be sharp and not sloppy so if I cant do a great job, I will sand off the top of the letters and leave them aluminum/natural

DSOM left and Mango Tango Toxic Orange right

Did you get the Hurst version? THe RSD that I got is the 2012 Z06 box with shortened stock shift stick. The stock unit for the 2005 is a little sloppy and I think I'm spoiled after having the TKO600

OK, the new Kenwood 690HD head unit has back up camera capability but I did not install it originally thinking that I would not use it, but the big booty on the C6 makes it a useable upgrade mod

Soooooooooo I will be installing a Backup camera, and i figured, "while I'm in there" :-) :-)

I'll drop in the RSD short throw shifter, funny how this all works out.

I tired shrinking the size, I tried photobucket, I tried a copied URL, all to no avail, it seems to be hit and miss, sometimes it shows up other times I get a warning like it is a attacking threat upload etc.

I had similar problem on my 85, oil pressure went down to 8-9, I put a new pump on and checked everything out and out it back together and it was fine, weird cause the pump looked fine

I would look into a new oil pump but FIRST, put a mechanical guage on it

Yeah, that was part of the reason i sold the 85, my 406's kept up with all the new models until the LS engines got perfected and they were making big HP in limited Cubes.

If this engine ever comes out I'll do a LSX-454-CI

Exactly! my 85 had 430 rwhp and it was plenty, the 460 rwtq was the real deal, in retrospect, I would take TQ over hp forever, but, big TQ breaks stuff too
