OK so we all have Corvettes and opinions galore. Everyone always asks whats wrong and we get many answers.
I have a new question. Whats the one tool you purchased that you cannot do without? For me I like the idea of the ball joint sockets. Wasn't too sure so I went to Harbor Freight (buy most my not sure items here) They had an impact set with 1- 3/8 drive and 1- 1/2 . Used them the other day now I'm gonna buy a good set I was that impressed Since I'm pretty sure most of us like to wrench tell us about your favorite item in the old roll around :thumbleft:

SPEEDBLEEDERS perfect for the job especially if you are by yourself. I flushed my whole system in less than an hour and did not have any worries about if I opened the bleeder or if the pedal was released too soon. Also like Centralcoaster said once tightened no chance of mechanical failure seals like a regular bleeder. I also started my car and let the booster help aid in bleeding my brakes

The one common thread though is I'm pretty much hated everywhere I go. :thumbright: First of all that comment was PRICELESS- I got a good laugh. And I also think many people belong to multiple forums . I tend to lurk and absorb what I am reading with the occasional post. Mostly occasional posting as I have seen many people flamed on other forums for not doing their homework I think this may be true for a lot of people

That's sweet! How high are your ceilings? The ceiling is 10 feet. Enough to walk under the vette on the lift but anything higher I can't. The plan is to vault the ceiling someday!

I saw an electric infra-red heater at Home Depot . But I have to agree that heating it is going to be hard to do. Your best bet may be one of the torpedo heaters like Brut suggested

Don't forget about the ones that hit the floor . A hanging tarp would probably be OK . Depending on how big the braces are you could easily make up a small booth to weld in . I'm thinking table top closed on 3 sides and top. That way you can gain some control over the sparks

One bearing has no play and the other has .031" play. How about an update on this , please. I am interested in buying a set It reminds me of an experience I had with front wheel bearings and half shafts. The torque of the half shaft nut gave the proper bearing preload . I had bought 2 and thought one was bad due to play. Went back to the parts store and most had play. Installed the bearing and have put over 25K on them in my suv Thanks Kevin
