ANOTHER STICKY MORNING IN THE NATIONS, SUMMER IS STILL WITH US.

THE DOCTORS HAVE DECLARED THERE IS NOTHING MORE THEY CAN DO FOR SON AND ARE ESSENTIALLY SENDING HIM HOME TO DIE. HE IS ONLY SEMI-CONSCIOUS NOW.

LIFE IS HARSH

SLOW DAY IN TULSA, SAM BOUGHT TWO SWORDS, I PITCHED SOME LOW BALLS BUT ONLY ONE SWUNG AND HE MISSED. I WAS HAPPY WITH THAT BECAUSE I OFFERED HIM TOO MUCH TO BEGIN WITH. CROWD WAS SPARSE BUT THEY WERE BRINGING IN STUFF TO SELL. JUST NOT STUFF I WANTED, MOSTLY CLOSET-COMMANDO ITEMS.

TOMORROW MAY BE A VERRRY LONG DAY.

GOT A SURPRISE E-MAIL FROM SAM THIS MORNING, WE HAVE A GUNSHOW THIS WEEKEND. I SCRAMBLED AROUND AND GOT UP THERE IN TIME TO GET SETUP. IT LOOKS LIKE A PRETTY ANEMIC SHOW, BUT WE SHALL SEE WHAT WE SHALL SEE.

THE TRUCK NO LONGER WANDERS ALL OVER THE ROAD; ON THE WAY TO TULSA THE WIND BLEW IT ALL OVER THE ROAD :-)

MED REPORTS ON SON SOUND OMINOUS.

TOO TRUE, I SAW TWO YOUNG LOOKING ONES IN FRONT OF THE BARN THIS MORNING :-)

IT'S SUNNY, CALM, AND MILD IN THE NATIONS THIS MORNING, BUT IT NOT BE MILD FOR LONG---

TOOK THE TRUCK IN FOR FRONT END WORK, WORN BALL JOINTS AT ONLY 140,000 MILES. BROUGHT BRAVECAT HOME YESTERDAY, SHE COMPLAINED ALL THE WAY HOME, JUST AS SHE COMPLAINED ALL THE WAY TO THE CLINIC AND THE WHOLE TIME SHE WAS THERE. THEY WERE GLAD TO SEE HER GO. SHE'S SEVERELY HYPERTHYROID SO NOW I HAVE TO PUT MED IN HER EAR TWICE A DAY. LOT OF TROUBLE FOR A DAMN CAT---

GOT OUT AND DID SOME TRIMMING YESTERDAY, IT WAS SO HUMID I WAS SOAKING WET WHEN I CAME IN THE HOUSE. I SHOULD DO SOME WEED-EATING THIS MORNING, ALL I NEED IS MOTIVATION.

NOTHING ON THE AGENDA TODAY, TOMORROW WILL BE BUSY.

Good morning - sunny day here, nice out last night and early this morning. Was up every hour last night with this itching but the prednisone pack is helping. I took the whole top row (7 I think) when I got home to get a jump start and noticed immediate results. The hurting stopped, swellling started to go down, redness is going away but this danged itching is what kept me up all night. Tee I've never seen a reaction on me like that either. Got stung also on schin and it's just a tiny spot, bout size of a quarter, hurt a little, nothing else. Couple weeks ago I got stung though and had a large local reaction but nothing like this. Fingertips were getting cold so I called the doc. I'm due in at 6:45 tonight.
When you get done with that remodel I have some work lined up lol ;)
Have a great day

THAT SOUNDS THE WOODPILE WASPS THAT GAVE ME SUCH A FIT A WHILE BACK. ONE STUNG ME ON A FINGER AND IT SWOLL UP, HURT ALL THE WAY UP MY ARM, ITCHED ALL DAY.

THOSE LITTLE BASTARDS HAVE SOME REALLY POTENT VENOM, PROBABLY SOME KIND OF NEUROTOXIN, AS A STING ON THE ARM DIDN'T HAVE THE SAME ILL EFFECTS AS THE HAND.
HOPE YOU KILLED EVER LAST ONE OF THEM :-|

HI TEE.

THE EASTERN BUNNY LIVES!
THE FOX DIDN'T GET HIM AFTER ALL---YET.

A NICE SUNNY MORNING, THE HUMIDITY IS DOWN AND THE CHEROKEES ARE MORE COMFORTABLE.
WE ARE TEMPORARILY CATLESS. TOOK BRAVE CAT TO THE VET CLINIC, COMPLAINING ALL THE WAY. DOGGY-DOC DAUGHTER THINKS SHE IS HYPERTHYROID, COMMON IN ELDERLY CATS AND TREATABLE. THEY'RE DOING BLOOD WORK, I'LL GO GET HER FRIDAY.
ALSO MOWED THE OBSTACLE COURSE WHILE IT WAS OVERCAST AND NOT SO HOT.

WILL TRY TO DO SOME TRIMMING BEFORE IT GETS HOT.

ALWAYS FORWARD, GURUS

OVERCAST AND STICKY THIS MORNING. NOT A PEASANT WAY TO START THE DAY.

SORRY ABOUT THE DOG, TOMMY. IT'S TOUGH WHEN WE SEE THEM GO.
WE'RE TAKING THE BRAVECAT OVER TO #1 DAUGHTER TO CHECK OUT. SHES 15 YEARS OLD AND DOWN TO SKIN AND BONES, DON'T THINK SHE'LL BE WITH US LONG.

LOOKS LIKE THE FOX HAS MADE A CLEAN SWEEP OF THE RABBIT PACK. FIRST THERE WERE THREE, THEN THERE WERE TWO, THEN THERE WAS ONE, AND NOW THERE ARE NONE. IT IS THE DESTINY OF RABBITS TO BE EATEN BY SOMETHING---

A woman is sitting at her deceased husband's funeral. A man leans in to her and asks, " Do you mind if I say a word?" "No, go right ahead", the woman replies. The man stands, clears his throat, and says, "Plethora", and sits back down. "Thanks," the woman says, "that means a lot."

STILL SUMMER IN THE NATIONS, SUNNY, STICKY, WARM. WE MAY HIT A HUNDRED FOR THE FIRST TIME THIS YEAR. THE WEATHER WIZARDS ARE HYPERVENTILATING. THE CHEROKEES HAVE SEEN THIS ALL BEFORE.

WELL, THEY SOLD MY BANK IN TEXAS, HAVE TO SEND IN MY STOCK CERTIFICATE TO GET PAYED OFF. I'M GONNA MISS THEM, THEY PAID DIVIDENDS WHEN OTHER BANKS DOWN THERE WERE FOLDING, AND SHELLED OUT RIGHT BEFORE THE BIG TULSA GUNSHOW :-)

SUNNY AND WARM IN THE NATIONS THIS MORNING, GONNA BE ANOTHER HOT DAY. TWO SUMMER DAYS IN A ROW, THE CHEROKEES ARE NOT USED TO THAT ANYMORE.

#8 GRANDSON PASSED MUSTER, A HAPPY, ACTIVE LITTLE BOY. HIS TWO FAVORITE ENGLISH WORDS ARE "WHAT" AND "NO". HE DOES NEED FEEDING UP, THO---

DROVE THE BUMBLEBEE, USED THE AC GOING OVER TO OKMULGEE, IT KEPT UP, JUST BARELY. TEMP WAS ABOUT 96 OR SO. COMING BACK I HAD NO GIFTS AND STUFF IN THE BACK, SO I PUT IN THE NATCH VENT THINGY AND ROLLED THE WINDOWS DOWN. IT WAS COMFORTABLE ENOUGH FOR ME.

NOTHING ON THE AGENDA TODAY, DW STILL COUGHING AND WHEEZING.

I'll vouch for the late C5s. By 2002 or so, Chevrolet had engineered all the sketchiness out of the platform—we've had all of one problem that wasn't our own darn fault in sixteen years. When you do need to fix them, they're also astonishingly "maintainable" compared to any C4.

Be that as it may, I can't argue the "austere" belief—that's a preference and the reason the 1985 stays in the garage. Why not swap the 1987 for a 1994 or 1995 ZR-1?

OH I COULD NEVER PART WITH HARVEY---OR THE TOMATO, OR THE BUMBLEBEE. I SEEM TO HAVE PAINTED MYSELF INTO A CORVETTE CORNER :-O

THERE'S A BACKSTORY ON THAT CLASSIC LITTLE CZ 28 GA SXS.
I TRADED FOR IT YEARS AGO AND THOUGHT IT WOULD BE PERFECT FOR A GRANDDAUGHTER. IT SAT IN THE SAFE ALL THIS TIME WAITING FOR THE WARRIOR PRINCESS TO COME ALONG :-)

HAD ABOUT A QUARTER INCH OF RAIN AND CLOUDS ALL DAY, HAD A NAPUS SEMI-MAXIMUS. TRYING TO DECIDE BETWEEN TEX-MEX AND STEAK FOR SUPPER. DECISIONS, DECISIONS---

THERE IS AN ORGANIZATION CALLED THE "Center for Science in the Public Interest" THAT EXISTS FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROMOTING A POLITICAL CORRECT DIET.

I AM CONTINUALLY AMAZED AT THE PLETHORA OF ENTITIES THAT EXIST FOR THE SOLE PURPOSE OF MINDING OTHER PEOPLES BUSINESS.

YOU HAVE TO WONDER WHO PAYS THESE OUTFITS.

IT'S LAMMAS AND THE LAST QUARTER OF THE ANCIENT CELTIC YEAR BEGINS.
IN THE NATIONS IT IS A STICKY AND OVERCAST BEGINNING. LOOKS LIKE THE END OF "TOP DOWN" TIME FOR A WHILE.

HAD A GREAT VISIT WITH #1 DAUGHTER AND ALL HER KIDS. GRANDDAUGHTER -IN-LAW HAS A BIRTHDAY THIS MONTH SO I GAVE HER PRESENT EARLY: A REALLY ELEGANT LITTLE 28 GA CZ SIDE BY SIDE. SHE CAN PRACTICE UP FOR DOVE SEASON NOW. AND WHILE I WAS ON A ROLL I GAVE #1 GRANDDAUGHTER A YOUTH SIZE 20GA O/U JUST TO KEEP THINGS EVEN.

DARLING WIFE STILL AFLOAT IN NORTHERN WATERS. THE SILENCE AM GRISHEIM IS DEAFENING :-)

GOT MY HAIRCUT, ABOUT A WEEK OVERDUE, CAME HOME AND CUT THE EASY PART OF THE OBSTACLE COURSE. REWARDED MYSELF WITH A COOL ST PAULI AND NOW AM ENVISIONING A NAPUS ORDINAIRIUS.

NOTHING IN THE TRAP AND NO SIGN OF COON ACTIVITY IN THE BARN.

GOING TO OKMULGEE FOR SUPPER THIS EVENING; #1 GRANDSON AND THE WARRIOR PRINCESS WILL BE THERE. #3 GS LEAVES FOR BRAZIL TOMORROW. SIL AND I WILL HAVE TO DO SOME DOVE SEASON PLANNING. SON WANTS TO HUNT IF HIS HEALTH STATUS ALLOWS BUT WESTERN OKLAHOMA MAY BE TOO FAR FOR HIM TO GO.
WE SHALL SEE WHAT WE SHALL SEE---

SUNNY AND COOLISH IN THE NATIONS THIS MORNING, I'M FIXING TO HEAD OVER TO TAHLEQUAH FOR A HAIRCUT. I KEPT THE TOMATO OUT SINCE THE MORNINGS HAVE BEEN TOP DOWN WEATHER AND WITH DARLING WIFE GONE THERE IS ROOM FOR TWO CORVETTES IN THE GARAGE, SO I'LL TAKE IT.

AND IN CLOUD-CUCKOO LAND THE PERMANENT POLITICAL CLASS AND THE MEDIA HAVE THEIR PANTIES IN A WAD BECAUSE TRUMP REFUSES TO CALL A SPADE A MANUAL EXCAVATION INSTRUMENT :-)

Gris - gun question. I currently have a Smith & Wesson 3953 (a dinosaur by today's standards but I love it). Is there any comparable gun out there now that is a 9 mm double stack, dao, metal gun? Thanks.

I'M NO EXPERT, BUT I'D SAY LOOK AT SIG. THEY ARE PRICEY, BUT GREAT GUNS. THE 229 APPEALS TO ME, AND YOU CAN GET IT IN .357 SIG. WALTHER WOULD BE BRAND ANOTHER TO LOOK AT.

AS A 1911 TRUE BELIEVER, I REALLY DON'T PAY MUCH ATTENTION TO THE DOUBLE STACK NINES. MOST OF THEM WON'T POINT FOR ME ANYWAY BECAUSE OF MY REWIRED HAND. I HAVE TO HAVE A SHORT GRIP IN ORDER TO LINE UP THE SIGHTS.

SUNNY, MILD, AND A LITTLE BIT STICKY IN THE NATIONS THIS MORNING.

TOMMY, I THINK HEART DISEASE HAS MORE TO DO WITH YOUR GRANDMOTHER THAN YOUR DIET. GENETICS AND THE MYSTERIES OF BODY CHEMISTRY. DON'T KNOW HOW I'VE DODGED THAT BULLET WITH A STRONG HISTORY ON MY DAD'S SIDE. A VERY AGGRESSIVE GP WHO PUT ME ON ZOCORE 25 YEARS AGO MAY HAVE HELPED.

I'M SEEING SUSPICIOUS SIGNS OF ANOTHER COON IN THE BARN; SET THE TRAP LAST NIGHT WITH NEGATIVE RESULTS. THE CURRENT VOLUNTEER BARN CAT IS BECOMING TAMER THAN ANY OF HIS PREDECESSORS. A CASTOFF RATHER THAN FERAL, MOST LIKELY.

SO THAT WAS WHY THIS WOULDN'T POST :-)

Good morning, all.

Hot and sticky in the Philadelphia area—but July is almost over.

28 pictures, Gris.

YOU'RE ON A ROLL JOHN!

STICKY HERE TOO, 80 DEGREES AND OVERCAST WHEN I GOT UP, 78 AND SPRINKLING RAIN NOW.

CROWD ONLY FAIR AT THE SHOW YESTERDAY, I MADE AN OFFER ON THAT 1895 WINCHESTER, GOT A SEMI-REASONABLE COUNTER, BUT GOT COLD FEET. THE BORE WAS QUESTIONABLE, MIGHT CLEAN UP MIGHT NOT.
SO IT WAS ONE OF THOSE RARE SHOWS WHERE I SOLD NOTHING AND BOUGHT NOTHING. SAM DID A GOOD BIT OF TRADING AND BOUGHT AN 1873 WINCHESTER RIFLE. I THINK HE MAY HAVE PAID TOO MUCH FOR IT, IT LOOKS PRETTY POOR.

AUTO ROTATION DAY, I'LL WAIT TILL IT QUITS RAINING---
