Most all the new pumps are good but look out for the material used for the hose !
Cheap crap turns to mush in gasoline and since much of our stuff comes from overseas it's hard to tell apart from the good stuff.
It won't show up for a while then you hear the pump but get little or no fuel pressure !
If you can't tell the difference go to NAPA and buy the good stuff. Cheap insurance !

I imagine this is an old thread but grounds on Ign wiring harnesses are a problem and the wrong coil or a weak coil are other possibilities.
Usually this happens at a specific RPM range .
Modified computers or Ign systems wired in are other components.
These computer cars depend on good grounds ! Need I say grounding is a sensitive subject on Corvettes !

Ya really have to detail what you have to get detailed help !

Thanks guys ! My Tranny Overhaul and converter is my Christmas present from my son ! I set him up in business cause being a gearhead I needed a shop so duh ! LOL

He is doing a custom paint job 2010 Corvette Yellow on the tranny shop owners 1986 Vette .

Its called Bartering Guys ! He is putting a seal in the Manuel Body 350 in the Monte Carlo too !

We are both drag racers though not too serious we just like to have fun race each other and anyone else who steps up to the lights !

In the shop for total restoration are customers 1950 Chevy coupe with Mouse Power and a 1965 Impala SS and I have been working on a beautiful 1961 Ford Galaxie 500 Starliner Convertible Blood Red w/ rolled Red and White Interior.
It's a neighbors prize possession !
Putting Sanderson headers and freeze plugs on the 390 .

I can't even remember the last full frame car I worked on !
Likely my old 56 chevy gasser from the early seventies.

Well not really newbe but I mostly lurk !
The only upside of winter is instead of spending money racing and buying parts you get to tear down and do big stuff !
There is still a great market out there for custom and speed parts but the economy sucs and our vendors , tracks , and sponsors need to know we and the sport are alive and well and we can't wait to go faster and look better doing it.

My son does custom paint , aero kits , Lambo Doors and stuff and he is really busy nearly always 6 days a week and sometimes Sunday.

I have the Vette in the Tranny Shop for Tranny Overhaul and hardened parts and the custom converter is getting a makeover as well !
Got two BFG 315 x 35 Drag Radials ready to mount.
If we have time it got a couple scratches so it may get paint too.

Our Monte Carlo Drag Car is getting new black paint with red SS striping a new glass nose and sheetmetal dash , New Harness . Headers shot peened and powder coated
New M/T skinnies , Plug Wires , Trans Brake cable w/mushroom button !

My Sons GT Mustang Just Got A Cobra R 4 hood new custom exhaust , Diablo Custom programmable computer , Overhauled T 45 and Racing Clutch ! Next it gets paint !

Thats a load right there but of course I see a spare bullet for the MC and some Gas in the future and a procharger for both the Vette and the Mustang !

You know ! It never stops !
