Was pretty tired again last night and went to bed right after the weather, slept like a log. Seasonably chilly this morning, 28 now and headed toward the mid 50s.

Not much on the agenda today...hopefully spend a little time on the phone with tech support and get my CNC running again. Yesterday, we tried a few things but didn't make much headway.

I hope all of you folks are having a good week and I trust will have a great day.

Morning guys...I've got the heat on for sure this morning. It was 15 when I was making my coffee, 17 now and they are saying a high of mid 50s....it will have to turn around pretty quick to make that, I'm thinking.

I am headed to the shop soon, no big hurry, to do a few things. I need to call tech support for my CNC.

Lunch at the Sr Center at noon, supper at the local Rec center this evening and Church service after that.

I guess I better get going.

Didn't get a lot done today, but didn't plan to. Did work on my CNC some today...and I mean work ON the CNC. Ran a couple files last night without any issues, went to run some files today and the machine errored out...don't know if it is a software/computer issue, a control box issue or a machine issue. No help from the forum, so I may have to call the tech support people tomorrow.

Most of the beirocks are sold. We had 52 dozen unsold Sunday, we are down to 12 dozen, people just keep coming back and asking for more. I must say, they are tasty!

Morning guys...Cold and partly cloudy this morning. Looking to reach low 50s today and most of the week.

My new shocks are supposed to be here later this week.

Marcus needs to open his wallet, let those moths out and purchase that ZR1 I found him. Then he won't have that same feeling that Tommy has with the auctions.

Morning folks...Steve, I KNOW exactly what you mean. Things going on in education today, particularly in our schools, is just f@#king crazy. Inmates running the asylum. I keep telling myself, and most everyone else, I'm sure as hell, glad that I'm not in education anymore.

Went to bed at 9pm last night and slept until the alarm went off at 7. Well, I did wake up once in the middle of the night to go pee, and the wind was blowing pretty hard. Cold front moving through dropping high temps into the upper 30s maybe low 40s. Yesterday high was 62. Supposed to warm back up tomorrow and for most of the week.

Heading northwest pretty soon to go visit my sis. Delivery some of our beirocks and looking at how her basement repair is moving along. After the contractor is done fixing the leaking problem, I will go up and work on firring out the walls, insulating, dry-walling and finishing it. She has some questions for me in those regards.

I trust you will have a great Monday.

Hey guys...We were up early and out the door to do beirocks (runzas for our northern friends). Not sure how many we made, guessing about 180 dozen. They are absolutely delicious, if I do say so myself. I handled every one of the trays at least 6 times (15/tray), you figure out how many trays that is. By the time we cleaned up and I delivered some of the ones I sold, it was 5pm, my feet hurt and I'm dead tired. We had extra dough after using up the filler mix, so it was divided up among those who wanted it...we brought home several lbs and came home and made cinnamon rolls, so now I am really tired. Maybe we can sleep in tomorrow...... Nope, my sis bought a couple dozen, so we will take hers to her tomorrow (an hours drive north and west of here).

Good night folks.

Hey guys...I got up later than normal. Went out to the shop to play around with my crafty project that was requested. Finished that up and then had a couple visitors needing help with various things. Walked up the the 'craft show' down town to see how things were going there. On the way back home Rosie requested that I make a quilt rack for some friends for Christmas. So I started working on the pieces for that. Worked on that until time to go to church.

Came home and started the grill and grilled some steaks for supper.

Tomorrow our KofC council is doing our annual Beirock sales....I'm guessing that we will make 175 to 200 dozen tomorrow. Starting at 8.

I think that after I deliver the bookcases that are at the finishers place, I am basically done with projects this year. Taking some time to do some things for myself. Supposed to be pretty nice next week, so maybe time for the brake job and shocks on 007.

Hey guys, I slept in a bit this morning then went straight out to the shop to make a few pieces for the 'craft show" tomorrow. A friend has a couple tables and volunteered to see if he could sell some stuff for me. After getting that done Rosie and I headed to the 'city' for a few things. Got back without a whole lot of time to spare before the game. Just got back from the game, the gym I worked (JV Girls, V Girls and V Boys) we won all three games......A good start to the season.

Another busy day. I finished up the trim on the cabinets and delivered them to the finisher, then stopped by the kitchen remodel and did a little polishing of the tops where I had to glue two pieces together. Then home to work on a couple things in the shop. An acquaintance called and asked if he could come over and talk to me about ordering some lumber. So we got his lumber ordered and then asked me about my CNC and cutting some pieces for him...so I ended up spending a couple hours with him cutting his parts. He told me what I did in an hour (actual cutting time) would have taken him all day.

I have an advisory meeting for the shop class at school this evening. So my evening is planned.

Not much yet this morning. I'm headed to the shop to finish up a few things. A chilly start, 24 now, but headed to the mid 50s.

Hey guys.... been another busy day. Installed the microwave, oven and dishwasher (minus the actual plumbing hook ups, I drilled holes in the cabinet sides to feed the hoses, connected the electrical) Then in the afternoon I thought I'd get a chance to work on those cabinets and just barely got started , when Rosie calls me.... "Will you be able to go down to the lumber yard and get their fork lift to take a refrigerator off the FedEx truck?" "Sure, when is it going to be here?" "It's sitting in the alley now waiting for you...." Well, F@*K. So I jump in the pickup and run down to the lumberyard and tell them I need the fork... "The keys are in it." So I park the pickup and go try and start the fork.....rhuh, rhuh, rhuuuuh, The freaking battery is dead...sh!t. So I go back in and ask them about jumping it, "Sure! But we don't have jumpers." "That's OK, I do." So I get back in the pickup and pull around where the fork is and it takes us about 10 minutes to FIND the battery and another freaking 10 minutes to wrangle the cables around to where we can actually hook them up. Rur, rur, rur....still no start. About that time the owner pulls up and wonders what we are doing (he's been gone for lunch). "well." he says, "we need some starting fluid." so off he goes to find starting fluid, I try again and it almost wants to start, he comes back (without any starting fluid) and says "Did you hod the glow plug button down?" "No, it is 54 degrees, does it need to have that done?" "Well, that' what happens when it gets cold." I hold the glow plug button down for a little bit, and it fires up. I drive across town and, thankfully the FedEx guy is waiting patiently. I get it unloaded, set it down where Rosie wants it by the back door and I head back......well, basically it took a freaking hour to do what should have been a 10 minute job. Back to the shop and I actually get the cabinets ready to go out to the finisher by 5:30 pm

I'll take those out tomorrow.

Didn't get as warm as they said today, but it was still pretty nice for the first part of December.

Time for bed.

Can't seem to get motivated. Got up at normal time, but haven't done much since then. I need to go out to the shop and work on the cabinets I got yesterday. They need to go to the finisher ASAP.

Sunny and chilly here, 28 now, and headed toward the low 60s they say.

I hope all of you, out there, have a great Tuesday.

Oh. it was cold to start, but by the time the afternoon came around, it had warmed up into the low 50s and a fairly warm southerly wind. More of the same tomorrow and Wednesday.

Hey guys, like Tommy said, busy day. Last evening, about 6, Rosie started warming up the last of the turkey leftovers. About a minute into the warm-up the microwave stops cold, lights go out, no power. I start doing a little research and youtube people say a common thing is for the fuse to go out inside the microwave. I've checked the breaker, it's not tripped, so I drop the microwave down (it's one of those that sits above the stove). I pull the cover off and sure enough there is a ceramic fuse, I pull out the digital multimeter and check the fuse.....nope it's fine....sh!t. So I start the search for a new microwave (this one is only three years old) I find a similar one at Menards, on sale in stock. So Rosie and I jump in the car and head over to purchase a new microwave. We just barely got there in time, picked it up and headed home. Got home and drilled new holes in the cabinet, mounted the bracket to the wall and got it up and mounted in place, plugged it in and.....NOTHING! WTF??? Pull out the meter again and check the outlet, 45 volts....WTF?? Pull the cover off the breaker box and start checking things in there...all is good. Make a few other checks and figure out I have no idea.... while I'm doing that Rosie gabs an extension cord and plugs in (to another outlet) the old microwave and it comes to life. By now it's after 10, I'm tired, pissed and not thinking straight. I figure I'll call my electrician buddy and see if he'll come over and help me out.

This morning I sent him a text asking him to call me when he can. About 15 minutes later he does, I explain what happened and he comes over and starts checking some things and find I have an open neutral, He and I decide to pull in a new wire...it's only about 4 feet back to the panel. Then I figure out that the two boxes are on different sides of a stud and it won't pull, so I grab the saw and cut out a big chunk of sheetrock so I can feed the wire.....SH!T, it doesn't go straight back to the panel, but through another outlet....So buddy pulls the outlet out and does a couple checks and everything is fine....he says, here's the problem, this connection (a couple of neutral wires twisted together) was loose and not making connection. He took his lineman pliers twis=ted them tight and put a new wirenut on it, and started putting it back together...I asked "Aren't we going to check if that fixed it first?" He says, "Put it back together and it will work." OK, so I put everything back together turn on the breaker and everything works like it should.....Well, I can take the microwave back and get our money back for that, but I now have sheetrock to repair on top of everything else..... We'll be back to normal in a couple days, once I finish the sheetrock.

After he leaves, Rosie and I say, Let's take the microwave back...so our third trip to the 'city' in less than 24 hours.

I put the first coat of mud on the sheetrock and then my electrician buddy calls me and says "You want to trade out the labor?" "Sure what can I help you with?" "I need to move a TV." "OK, I'll be there in a few." The TV is an old Vizio Plasma 55" and this sucker is heavy, and in the basement. We load it up in his pickup and haul it out to a family that experienced a house fire a couple weeks ago and lost almost everything. They are living in the garage until they can get things straightened out.

Back home just in time for the trucking company to call saying they have my cabinets and will be there in 30 minutes. so over to the school to meet them, load them into the pickup and head home to unload.

As you can tell, it's been a busy day.

Morning Guys....Slept in a bit, but the shining sun got me up about 8am. It's also pretty crisp out there, 26 and headed toward the mid 40s. The wind is not supposed to blow quite as hard today.

I have cabinet parts coming tomorrow for the job I told the guy I'd try to finish by the end of the year. I need some special trim for them, so I'm headed to the 'city' this morning to pick some pieces up to create it.

Yea, Matt that box is just crazy! Do you use them, or just look at them? 2020 is going mean some big changes for me. Just over a month I turn 65 and a month later Rosie and the first of April she will retire from public service after 37 years.

Have a great day!

Hey, it turned out to be a pretty nice day...but then the north wind started howling and the temps turned COLD. I cooked steaks on the grill tonight, the cold wind made it a bit difficult to hold temp, but the steaks turned out great...very tasty T-bones.

So tired we went to bed at 9:30 last night and slept until 7:30...I guess we were tired.

Sun is shining but is chilly, 35 and headed toward upper 40s. I have some stuff to do in the shop, so I better get to it. I hope all of you have a great Saturday.

Hey guys...After getting #3 on the road home, we decided to go pick up some things over in the 'city' . Probablt not the best decision as BF was still going strong. Picked up the stuff we needed and got the h3ll out of there.

Got home and put things away and the guy came by to pick up his computer...spent an hour or so with him, then I went out to the shop to work on a corn-hole game and some other things in the shop, until Rosie came out and told me supper was ready. I sat down to eat and haven't moved since....I'm out of gas.

Hey guys... Been busy since we got up. Washed our sheets, before #3 and family got up. They got up and around then they loaded up and headed for home. It's quiet in the house for the first time in a week.

A small rain shower this morning, yes rain, as it is above freezing. 39 now and headed toward upper 40s.

Had a phone call this morning, a guy needed his computer looked at, as it is running slow. I've been through the whole thing, and have determined it is Norton....it is a resource hog. I'll have to ask him how long he's got on his subscription.

Well, I've got some things to do today, I'll check back later.

Morning guys...I got up at regular time. About 2" of snow on the ground, still snowing a little, off and on. I have the turkey on the grill. Not up to freezing yet and will just barely get above at the peak. Doesn't matter, we will be staying inside for the majority of the day.

Rosie is working on the dressing, #3 and family are lounging around, #2 and family will be over later, they are doing a deep fried turkey.

I hope and pray that you and yours are having a wonderful day. Watching football, the parades or whatever.

Morning guys... Quite chilly this morning, 12 right now and clear, which might explain the cold temps. There is some snow on the ground, not much, but some white .

I'm treading water today, waiting for the plumber....NOT ME, I think I've told you guys once before that I hate f#@king plumbing.

I think I will, probably, start on prepping the turkey for tomorrow. Marinating it with a dry rub. Then tomorrow, low and slow.

Later guys......

Shop cleaned, vanity top installed along with the faucets...Not plumbed in, just installed on the counter tops. One of their SILs finished up the flooring in the kitchen today. We are inching closer to the finale. I'm still hoping one of the kids/grands steps up to install the backsplash. Plumber is coming tomorrow to hook up the sinks, wish we could have had the appliances there so he could hook up the dishwasher. We tried to go get the appliances which "were in" as of Saturday, which was the original delivery date, but was told "The refrigerator was not in, and we won't deliver until all are in". So we called and asked if we could come over and pick up the appliances that 'were in' so we could get those installed...more run around and finally they called and said "None of the appliances are in the store at this time" and they would ALL be delivered on December 3rd. So the plumber will have to make another trip back to hook that up. I'm beginning to dislike Home Depot.

Well, the nasty stuff hasn't got here yet. It's colder, but the wind hasn't started blowing. That's what they are predicting for us, cold and wind.

It's cleaning the shop and putting stuff away this morning.

I hope, all of you, have a great Tuesday.

With a little help from my friends (and my #3 GS)I got the countertops fabbed and the kitchen ones installed today. Tomorrow I'll do the bathroom one. It's under-mount as well and will need to set for a while before I move it around tomorrow. I'll spend some time cleaning the shop, tools and putting stuff away. Then, in the afternoon, GS#3 will help me move it over, carry it in and install it.

Along with the two GDs we are sitting with their dog as well, A Boston Terrier. #2 ahd the girls, and the dog, come over to her house Sunday while Rosie and I went to the meeting. Almost immediately, one of her dogs started a fight with their dog. They separated them and brought the one back here to the house...this morning, she barely can walk, her front leg is swelled up and she is crying. So, Rosie calls the vet and takes her out to find nothing wrong, but gives her a shot and some pills for the pain. Our bill was quite a bit cheaper than Tommys', but we don't even have a dog and it seems every time they bring her out for us to watch, something happens to her, and we have to take her out to the vet.

I hope the surgery went well, Tommy. Health insurance is a freaking scam. Letty, you need to let me in on how you fix flip-flops, Rosie buys and wears some higher priced ones and when they break...it breaks my pocketbook. John....yes I have been a bit busier, trying to finish up my part.

Slept in an extra hgour this morning...might have slept longer but I could hear to two GDs playing with the dog. it's crisp outside, 40 now, and headed to mid 50s, so they say. I'm going to use the nice day to fab the counter tops.

They guy who was going to help me, the son of the couple we are doing this for, and former student, called yesterday and is concerned about getting here tomorrow, as winter storm is supposed to hit them harder than us. So I told him that I would get some help around here to get them done. Today is going to be better than tomorrow, so I'll go crazy today finishing up the fab work. I actually started yesterday afternoon and worked into the evening.

Rosie has started decorating for Xmas. The GDs are helping her.

Have a great Monday, folks.

Morning guys... Not much inspiration this morning. Chilly start 29 when we got up, but headed to mid 60s. I might go out and rough out the counter top pieces. I have a Knights of Columbus meeting this afternoon, so whatever I do I have to finish up fairly early.

The two GDs and Rosie are playing cards.

Think I'll head out to the shop, have a great day!

Hey guys... Another day another...day donated to the cause. I went over and put up the crown molding and the toe kick under the cabinets. Then went over to a good friends' Moms' 90th birthday party. She's one of "my little ole ladies" that I take care of her computer and TV. Went to church after that. Tonight we have #3s daughters, #2 and #2 GS here for Chicken and noodles. We have #3s kids while they went to Colorado to Celebrate #3 SIL 40th bday. They will be back Wednesday, just in time for T-giving. He will help me with the smoking of the bird Thursday morning.

Safe travels to Gris. Tommy you'd better get things fixed up in time for Christica/Hanamas. Marcus, you'd better get that stuff done, I know Mrs Uwoman will have your.... hanging on a nail if you don't. That freaking Tesla is alm ost as ugly as the Aztek. John that is a nice trip.

I hope all of you had a great Saturday. It was a cold start, but turned out a beautiful day, 59 as the high. more of the same for tomorrow.

Het guys....another busy day. Got up a little later than normal, then headed over to the 'city' to do our Thanksgiving dinner shopping and picking up some things for the kitchen remodel. Back home to unload, deliver the stuff then home to work in the shop on some things.

Down to the school to watch GS#3 in the "Open Practice". Now back home to do a few more things in the shop.

Been cold today, 33 was the high. A little snow on the ground when we got up, but warm ground, it didn't last, and snowed off and on all day, but didn't stick.

#3 and her family are on their way here tonight. We are watching the girls for a few days while #3 and SIL go out to Colorado for few days to Celebrate his 40th birthday, but they will be back Wednesday. So two of our three girls and families will be here for T-giving. Rosie is going to bake a turkey, #2 SIL is deep fat frying one and I'm going to slow cook/smoke one on the new grill....should have plenty of turkey.

Hey guys...Up and around fairly early. Over tho the house where I installed the rest of the doors and pulls, now working on drawer fronts and pulls. Electrician friend has been working there with me, he's doing electrical work as I am doing the doors and the painter...well he's there too....sort of. Headed back to finish the fronts up, then maybe I'll get started on the crown molding.

It's much chillier today, but not as bad as I was expecting...at least the wind isn't howling....and I'm inside working. Another chilly day tomorrow, then moderating temps over the weekend.

Hey guys...Busy day. I was up at normal time, but, out early to get the fork to unload my materials. As soon as that was done, I grabbed the lazy susan mechanisms and headed over to the remodel to install them. Got them installed and then went to #2s house to replace the susan in her cabinets, as this was her birthday present. About the time I finished that one up my neighbor called to let me know that UPS was dropping off some boxes...Cabinet doors for the remodel. So I headed home to grab those and head to the alley and to the shop to install hinges on them. The other friend came over nad helped me do most of the doors and I decided to take the ones we had done over to the house and get them hung. Homeowners were tickled pink. Back home to finish up the last of the doors and Rosie made it home and had supper ready, so in to eat and back out to finish up the doors so I can install them, the drawer fronts, the pulls and the under-cabinet lighting.

As you can see, I've been a busy boy. I have about 150 hours into this remodel...all will be donated, as the couple doesn't have much money for this unexpected expense.

Weather started out darn chilly, but by noon it warmed up to around 70, but then late in the afternoon, the temps dropped rapidly as the cold front came through. Tomorrow is going to be an indoor day.

Hey guys...lumber truck didn't show...driver called me and said it wouldn't be today, but tomorrow morning. So I made myself busy with other things, ultimately, trimming the evergreen in front of the front room window, then I hung the Christmas lights on the house. Nice day, so it made sense. Went over t check on the painter at the kitchen remodel and he was making headway. Got email notice saying the cabinet doors would be delivered tomorrow as well, so tomorrow will be a busy day.

Tonight we had #2 her SO, the GS's and #1 GSs girlfriend over for pizza and birthday cake...#2 turned 40 today.

Morning guys...Waiting on lumber delivery today. Mid 30s now, but headed to the low 70s. I can live with the weather we are having, but it's supposed to change Wednesday night...highs on Thursday are supposed to be in the upper 30s.

Better get out to the shop and get a few things done before materials arrive.

Have a great day guys.

Hey guys...Slept in today. Alarm went off at normal time, I rolled over, turned it off, got up and went to the bathroom, went back to bed and slept for another 2 hours. It was absolutely a glorious day. Low 70s and light breezes. I went out and worked in the shop, delivered a computer I worked on last night, sold another laptop I cleaned up for a former student, delivered some wood samples for a client to test some stains on, back to the shop to work on a small table-top. Went over to the kitchen remodel to double check measurements for counter-tops, then Rosie and I loaded up all the cardboard from all the things I've done, so far, to take to recycle. Then this afternoon, I went back out to the shop and cleaned up some, and made some cutting boards from scraps of my counter-top material. So that was day....I'm tired and ready for bed.

Thanks, Matt. I think Flo-da would be a nice place to visit, but I'll leave it all to you guys...I, kind of, like it here... not really into large populations of people.

Well, it has turned out to be a beautiful fall day. I got the rollouts installed and some trim put up. I've been doing some other cleaning in the shop....playing tag with the guy who wants me to do the trimming job.

Well, I didn't get it posted before we finally caught each other. Picked up another job.....

Hey guys....I made up for not sleeping well Friday night. Slept like a log last night. It is sunny and crisp outside this morning.

I have a couple things to get done over at the kitchen remodel today...install the pullout trays in two cabinets. Then it's a matter of waiting for materials to show up this week so we can move the project along. Then later today, I will go look at another little project I got called on last week....trim out several windows and doors.

Rosie has breakfast ready. better go have a bite. Have a great day.

Hey guys....Another busy day for me. Trying to ramrod a project where I am dealing with 'Mom and Dad' and 8 kids, 4 of whom are in the construction trades, can be quite daunting at times. 'Mom and Dad' tell me "You know what needs to be done...do it. And do it your way. We trust you and your decisions." And then I report to the rest of the kids, to let them know what I'm doing and why. They really are a great family to work with and I feel like I'm just one of the family.... trying to keep peace among the tribe. Kind of where we started....

Was a very chilly start to the day, but warmed up nicely, 67 was the high, light breezes made it very comfortable.

More work at the house tomorrow, trying to get as much done as possible as I will be fabricating counter tops next and installing the doors and drawer fronts.

Hey guys...I slept in a little, then went right to work. My neighbor and I went to the shed, hoked up the trailer with all the old siding on it, called my daughter (who works for Road and Bridge, which is in charge of the landfill) to let her know to let the director out there know we were on our way. He was going to soak the siding good once we dumped it and cover it up. After that Rosie and I headed over to the 'city' to do our grocery shopping and my shopping at Menards, for materials for the kitchen remodel. By the time we got home it was 3pm. Unloaded our stuff at home and then over to the house to drop off the electrical supplies I bought. Came home and worked on some trim pieces until Rosie had supper ready.

It was a chilly start, upper 20s and the south breeze made it quite chilly while we were out at the landfill. By the time we headed to the 'city', it was starting to warm up and by the time we got home it was in the mid 60s. Looks like about the same weather scenario for the next 5 or 6 days. I can take that.

My back aches until I get up and moving, then, I'm pretty good all day. Stretching helps early on. We all tend to over-do at times.

Letty take care of that foot. Tommy...the back....Oh I laughed out loud reading that little jewel, read it to Rosie and she giggled too.
