hey guys, early start then work in the shop. Now I'm headed to school to run clock for first round sub-state basketball.

Nice sunny and, relatively, warm day. Tomorrow up earlier and off to the 'city' for an eye appointment.

Got to go.

Hey guys... up pretty early and over to the 'city' to take #1 GS and fiance a couple of chairs we had here in the basement.....and haul away their old crappy torn up couch. GS and I disassembled it and loaded it into the pickup and I'll haul it to the dump tomorrow.

Got home and met a guy who bought my old front door. a little more mad money for the stash.

Sunny here, but breezy and cool. 60s though for the rest of the week.

Bob, I don't remember did you have the virus? I remember you were quarantined. Thinking maybe you did. Everything I heard/read says if you did, the first one is the one that give the most trouble, if not it's the second one. My reaction to the first one wasn't all that bad. Low grade head and body aches the next day...Rosie just ran a low grade fever for about an hour. I say get it and move on.

How big of a green house is she thinking Marc? Our retirement home put one up for the residents to use, I can find out about the specifics for you.

Morning guys... Unlike Gris, it is pretty cool here this morning, 23 now, but headed to a sunny 69 they say. The big drawback is our winds are expected to match the temps. Not much wind right now, but is supposed to ramp up with the temps. Next week is much of the same, temperature-wise....looking forward to that.

Beings I got the oil changed in the pickup yesterday, not a lot on the agenda today, except Church this afternoon.

Hey guys, another bust day. Beautiful day, upper 50s here, 57 and light breezes. Ran errands this morning and had church at noon, then decided to change oil in the pickup today as it was nice and warm. Tomorrow is supposed to be warmer, but windy...even by our standards, so today made more sense.

Then down to school to recycle the oil and I stopped in at my old shop and helped my #3 GS decide on his woodworking project and helped him with the design.

We will keep you in our prayers, Marc...and safe travels.

I'm afraid by the time a majority of people figure it out our country won't be "our country" any more.

I'm taking care of the neighbors dogs tomorrow and Sunday as they go to visit their daughter/SIL/GS in Wichita.

Hey guys, busy day. Temps did make it exactly into the mid 40s today. A little breezy, but not bad.

The other day (the day we made beirocks) the temp made it up to 2 all day. With the pickup sitting out all day, when we got in to go home, when I cranked it, she grunted before deciding to fire up. 2015 pickup with the original battery...I decided to order a new one. It came in today. AC-Delco Professional 94RAGM $160 from Amazon. I figured it would take me about 15 minutes to swap it out..... So much for 'figuring'. Had to remove a brace that runs across the top of the battery, about three loom locks, the overflow take (had to come loose) and the top of the air filter housing... Darn near the whole side of the pickup. Took me about an hour to complete, but it's done, along with a new air filter. When it warms up this weekend, I'll change the oil.

Hey guys, up early and busy all day. It got warmer than they were saying it would....low 50s today, but a bit breezy.

Went over to the 'city' and did a little grocery shopping. Rosie is doing better each day with her knee. She gets into the pickup almost normal now...only takes her a little bit longer than before the injury and she's still got the brace on.

Bought oil and filter to change oil in the pickup. The new Caddy hasn't been out of the garage since I had it safety inspected....Rosie can't get into it with the brace and the weather has been crappy so I haven't taken it anywhere. Still has only 13800 miles on it. Obviously, 007 hasn't been out either.

I ready for spring to sprung.

Hey folks, home from KC. It was pretty nice when we left, low 30s and the temps just kept climbing as we headed west and south. Was 67 when we got home. I washed the crap off the pickup it was so nice.

I must admit, I'm pleased with my house and the builder...even after 35 years. Of course I know exactly what is in this place....every nail, board, screw, wire and piece of material in it. I never worry about freezing pipes. when I built the house (as the last carpentry house built by the school, I was the teacher) people told me I was 'overbuilding it". Yup, I think I did...just as I planned. I have more insulation in my walls than most people have in their ceilings...and enough insulation in the ceiling to be safe in the northern climates of the USA. Not saying that there weren't some corners cut as we built....due to the construction loan, but we never cut those corners on the STRUCTURE, only on the finishes, which over the years we have changed most of them out to the way we wanted to do in the first place.

Morning guys.... slept. In “til 9. Cloudy here this morning, 38 now but that’s about it, according to the weather gurus.

Nothing really on the agenda today. Got my haircut yesterday and went to church. #1 and family return this afternoon from a quick visit to GD#1 down in Arkansas (Fayetteville), we’ll run over to see them a little later.

Looking forward to a few car shows/cruises when the weather clears.

Many get some side effects from the shot, whether they've actually gotten the bug or not—we had to provision for that with our daily attestation app. Which shot leads to the most side effects depends on which vaccine is being used.

I'm hoping to experience this for myself before my birthday comes around in May—we'll see.

John, if it makes any difference to you we had the Mederna version.

Hey guys... chilly in the KC area today, but warming up, almost up to freezing point here and the snow and ice is beginning to melt where the sun is hitting it.

I’m not against immigration, never have been, just do it legally. I’m also for making that process not so expensive and drawn out. FILs brother lives down in Houston, he says the illegals are already a problem in his neighborhood. They are camping out on the street in front of their houses begging, and it concerns him that they are “casing” them so they know what their routines are. I guess I don’t have the answers, but I know the way the Democrats are going about it isn’t the solution.

WOW! We made it all the way up to 27 today...freaking heatwave. I went down to the carwash and sprayed a bunch of crap off the pickup. felt warm but by the time I was done, my hands were frosty.

We are headed to KC for the weekend tomorrow. Safe travels Marc.

RIP Rush.

Morning guys....-2 now but looking to soar into the mid teens today. The city and their electrical supplier are threatening the rolling power outages as long as this cold spell continues.... can't help thinking there's a political motivation behind it.

With the threats, I won't be going out to the shop to work, I don't want to put anymore pressure on the system than is already there.

Have a great day guys....

Morning guys....a tad bit chilly this morning, -18 now but expecting it to really soar into the low 0s.

Busy this morning responding to my FB ad selling the leftover beirocks. Sold 25 dozen of the extras already.

Not much else going on in the land of frigid!

Hey guys,

Tommy, so sorry for your loss. As time moves forward we all are facing more and more of that. Prayers sent your way.

Got up early, as this was the day our Knights of Columbus group had our beirock making/sale. We had a good turnout and had as many as 28 members/wives/children there working. Appears we made around 220 dozen. Rosie was one of 6 wives that showed up, that's what our Valentines Day was...I guess I did heat up a beirock for her for supper...what a quality and romantic husband I am.

Gris, your start to the day was higher than we made it. It was -3 when we headed to school to make the beirocks and only made it up to 2 for a high and looking for a low of -15 tonight. The one good thing, weather-wise, if there is one, is the big snow and blow never reached the full potential they were predicting. Only got about 2" of the white crap (not complaining) and not much wind with it.

Hey guys....slept in this morning. Getting ready to go and check on the guys prepping the filling for our beirocks project which we are doing tomorrow. Basketball games for today were moved up due to the impending weather moving in.

1 right now and that's about it. 4 to 8 inches of the white stuff expected tonight into tomorrow.

Morning..still. Kind of chilly here too, 0 now with an expected high of 6....oh boy what fun.

Went to look at a small cabinet job last evening and when I came home to do the drawings, I find my CAD computer (a WinXP machine because my CAD program won't run on anything newer) is down...won't start......CRAP! So I start going through my "backup computers" trying to find one with WinXP so I can load the CAD. Find one (takes about an hour and a half because I have to clean it off of the old data), get CAD loaded, but it requires a license file which is on a 3.5 floppy disk...the floppy drive won't read it. So now I'm trying to find a computer with a floppy drive, that works, to copy the file on to an flash drive to copy onto the computer......That's a no go. So I take the HDD out of the "dead" computer to try and pull the file off it. I throw it into my docking station and try to access it. It comes up with an error message but offers to "find and fix" the issues. I'm not optimistic, but to my surprise, it says all problems were fixed. So I find the file and copy it to the flash drive. Then I install the HDD back into the computer and fire it up...to my surprise, it starts up and runs like it never had a problem. I decide to go ahead and prep the other computer as a "Ready Backup". By this time it is 1AM. I head for bed.

I wake up at 8 and come right down to start the drawings so I can figure a price. I fire up the CAD machine and begin. I turn to my internet machine (behind me) and log into the cabinet company site and then smell an electrical burning odor. Turn around to find the
CAD machine down......SH!T. I reach around to pull it out and find the power supply is quite HOT...OH, OK that's what caused the problem before, it failed and corrupted the HDD. So, last night while hunting through my supply of computers for a 3.5 that worked, I decided that I was going to go through those computers and trash those that had issues and save any parts that might be of service. One of the parts I saved from one of them was a fairly new power supply, so I install that into the CAD machine and fire it up....IT WORKS! I'm finally (I hope) done with all this stuff.

Staying inside today.

Hey guys...was MIA yesterday. Up early and over to the 'city' for dental appointments. Then to the eye Dr. so Rosie could be fitted with her new glasses (she broke the other pair when she fell and broke her kneecap/elbow. After that, we did some shopping for groceries then lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings (she got free wings for her birthday). Once home, I got stuff unloaded from the pickup and in the house, while Rosie put things away, I had a guy call and come over who wanted some help finding some molding for his house he is building. Then delivered the bookcase I built and finished up last week.

Today we got up normal time, and about the time we did another guy came by to talk to me about lumber and while he was here the orthopedic dr office called to ask about moving Rosies appt (this afternoon) up to this morning....well, Hell yes. Sat in the waiting room for nearly an hour before they called us back. Dr told her the fracture was a complete fracture (we were told it was just a minor fracture) and that he wanted to cast it....then after finding out it had happened three weeks ago, said, "If it hasn't separated at this stage, it was probably OK to just continue with the brace". So we came home.

Didn't really want to get up this morning. Thermo on back porch shows 7 ...prediction is low 20s and this is the nicest day of the week. Highs for the weekend aren't even where we are now.

I have some things in the shop to do. Hard to get motivated.

Morning guys...Our trip to the casino wasn't all that profitable....Rosie was dowbn $35 I was up $6...The prime rib was good though. It is her actual birthday today.

So, it's cold, snowy and gray. Not a day to be outside. Twelve right now and a high of upper 20s...and this is the warmest day for the next week.

Hey guy, up and at 'em this morning. Not a lot planned before our trek to Dodge City this afternoon. Like Gris, it is cold and cloudy here and our forecast is much the same, highs in the 20s for the next week, lows in the the single digits and negative singles possible.

Will definitely be looking to work inside this week.

Bob, for years, our vacations were driving all over the country, taking our girls to competition swim meets. Every weekend during the summer and some winter meets as well.

We were lucky that at the end of the summer we were able to run out to the mountains in Colorado for a few days before I would have to report back to school.

since retiring, we, Rosie and I, have taken a few trips...usually Corvette related, I ran across this youtube video of one of the events we attended. Our Arctic White 94 Z07 is shown a couple times.

For a second I thought I was reading one of Tommy's posts...

Yea, I was thinking the same thing....... Not taking the Corvette this year though, Rosie is still in a knee brace and the only vehicle she cn get into is the pickup.

Hey guys, Up, around and out the door to watch GS #3 play b-ball today. Played two games back-to-back...won them both. Grabbed a bite then came home and made it to church.

Tomorrow, we will go to Dodge City to the casino for Rosie's birthday (Monday). Do a little gambling, eat some prime rib, maybe even watch a little of some football game that is supposed to be going on.....

Morning guys...didn't want to get out of bed. It's chilly out there, 27 now. Headed to the mid 40s.

A bit of work in the shop, then home b-ball games tonight (Homecoming), so I need to be there by 4:30

Hey guys....home from the 'city'. Picked up materials, bought some stuff for wedding decorations, ate lunch and now home and unloaded. Waiting for nephew to show up to get him his vanity.

Cold front came blowing through late last night and dropped some snow, but it is clear and chilly now. Just a step down from yesterday and stepping down again for the weekend.

Hey guys....Dang it was chilly today, only made it up to 72.... Really was a perfect day. Got lots done. Both church meetings over. Tomorrow headed to the 'city' to pick up some materials for a project and meet with GS and his fiance as Rosie is helping them with decorations for the wedding (coming up in May)

Morning guys... Worked in the shop yesterday. It was in the low 60s. Today, upper 60s, maybe even into the low 70s. Then back to near normal temps Thursday and Friday and into the deep freeze over the weekend.

Two church meeting this evening.

Hey guys, busy day after I decided to get up. Out to the shop and worked most of the day.

Seriously considering sending my headlights in to have the lenses replaced. Not a cheap process...maybe close to $800 for the pair. Waiting for the guy to get back to me.

Busy week here. Tomorrow, basketball away (hour drive). Wednesday I have two church meetings, Thursday a trip to the 'city' for materials and meet with GS and his fiance and Friday home basketball game. Sunday is our yearly trip to the Casino in Dodge City to celebrate Rosie's birthday.

Hey guys, up normal time, but out to the shop to work on sanding the primer I sprayed yesterday, then a second coat. More sanding then a couple coats of finish paint. I'm done for the day out there.

Tag for new Caddy came in the mail today, so I put that on and the KTag (turnpike radio reader so we don't have to stop and pay the tolls) came yesterday for it, so I put that on the windshield as well.

GS #3 is palying in a tourney today, so we will watch that on Youtube a little later (and 24 hours of Daytona). and church too.

Morning guys...Up, but not too motivated. Supposed to be warmer for the next few days.

I'll try to spray the vanity for nephew. and later today we have a home b-ball game, so I'll head up there about 4:15.

Hey guys...been busy all day. Installed the bathroom cabinet that I started clear back in September. But kept waiting on the clients to make choices/decisions. Only took a couple hours to finish that up. Worked on a couple other things in the shop, and now, awaiting to leave to the 'city' as Rosie has a meeting and she still can't drive...heck she still is having a time getting into and out of the pickup...no way she could get into the Caddy.

Thinking our high today won't be what you are now. 15 now at noon...but, thankfully no wind.

Been out to the shop working on the vanity. Just about ready to finish.

I didn't see the picture of your car Mike. Holy cow that's a bunch of damage...really surprised that the air bag didn't deploy.

Morning guys....Not just chilly this morning, it's freaking cold, 15 now and only headed to low 20s and snow later.

Rosie is coming along real well, Gris. Her arm is gaining strength and her knee is not as painful. She's lucky it wasn't worse.

More work on the vanity today. My lumber truck is scheduled to come this afternoon and I have b-ball games to work this evening.....full day. I hope yours is a good one.
