Morning guys...Slept WAY better in my own bed. Not sorry to have left early. Raining in Pagosa Springs already, which means it is probably snowing, heavily. on the pass.

I've got a ton of stuff to do, after taking a week off. I'm sure Tommy understands that principle.

Better get going.

Well, about noon today, Rosie came back from the Rec Center and said, "Do you think we should head home ahead of the storm? sounds like it could be nasty tomorrow." She didn't have to ask more then once. We gathered up everything, I got it loaded in the pickup and bikes on the rack and checked out and headed home.

The weather wasn't bad, just a bit windy ahead of the front coming down. Good to be home....nice to get away, but, good to be back.

Morning guys.... up about 8 (local time) showered and breakfast down. Chilly now, 32, headed to mid 60s. Last full day here at the resort, tomorrow we check out and head home.

I've packed the sticks up, so won't be golfing today. Bikes will get loaded later today.

Might be a little iffy going home tomorrow. I see where the mountains in SW Colorado are in a winter weather advisory and Wolf Creek pass/ski area are predicting "snow showers" tomorrow. So, we're not sure whether we should get around quickly and head out, or hold back an hour or so until it 'warms' up a bit. Decisions, decisions. I think it was smart of me to buy those emergency chains for the pickup....

Hey guys, slept in this morning. and now just chillin'. Cool start but warming up nicely. Thinking we will go golf here in a bit.

Our friends called, they got the new panel installed. When they got the old panel off, they could see where the heat had charred the OSB sheathing to the point where if it had gone another 10 minutes (according to the utility company), the house would probably been on fire..... Somehow they dodged a bullet. But everything is repaired and back to normal and they are on the road back home.

Have a great day.

Hey guys, been a lazy day. Cool all day and cloudy. We went for a 4.4 mile ride. And now headed to church.

Well, didn't have to go down as they were having a difficult time finding a new panel, so, nothing we could really do.

Rosie and I went for a 6 1/2 mile bike ride...almost an hours worth. Toured the north side of the lake looking at the nice "cabins" (read that as REALLY nice homes that people use, mostly, sparingly, during nice months).

Then we went down and played Mini-golf and shuffleboard and out to eat at one of our favorite places, an authentic Mexican food place.

While we were playing mini golf Rosie texted our friends to see if they had had any luck finding a new panel, and she said they had, and were in Durango picking it up right then. Durango is about 2 hours from their place and we are about halfway in between. So we invited them to stop on their way through to eat supper with us. So they said "Yes, they would do that" so, Rosie and I got things together and heated up the leftover chili we had the other night. We sent them on their way back...hope they don't figuratively or literally run into any wildlife on the way home.

Friends of ours have a place about 40 miles south of here in NM. They happen to be there this week, so, on Wednesday we drove down to see them. We've been there a couple of times, but they had done a lot of work since our last trip there. We took the Side By Side and the 4 wheeler and toured their property. Then had an early supper ready and another couple, who we've met before, came out to visit and eat with us
Shortly after eating, we headed back to Pagosa Springs, as the wildlife is prevalent on the road between here and there...especially during this time of the year, as soon as it starts to get towards sunset.

This morning we got a message from them saying that they had had to call the fire dept. as the electrical panel started smoking and nearly started a fire. Lucky they were there to realize there was a problem and call. Could have burned the place down. Apparently a wasp nest shorted out the leads and started the problem. I've offered to come down and help in any way....just waiting to find out if we are going.

Morning guys...Chilly here, 27 (7:45) when we got up, but warms up quickly, 40 now (9:30). Was looking at the weather and noticed Relative Humidity is 11%....I have a feeling, that is the reason of the temp swings so fast. The other thing is, it doesn't feel that cold.

Last evening, we went to the hot springs to soak in the mineral waters. Met some really nice people, most locals who frequent the springs regularly. Moving from pool to pool, wet, was not uncomfortable at all. And when we got ready to leave, we showered and changed into our street clothes, but I had forgotten my jacket in the pickup, Walked to the pickup, thinking it was rather warm. But the pickup thermometer said it was 34....no way I would have believed that, except my phone and a temp readout on a bank sign confirmed the temp.

Not a lot planned for today.

Morning guys... slept in today. Still mid 30s at 9:30, but promises of low 60s have been mmade.

Rosie walked over to the Rec Center to do the treadmill. I may try to golf a little later.

Now THAT would help with the performance issues the C4 has.... That would bring it into a more current performance state.

Hey guys, I'm beginning to become acclimated to the high elevation. I slept well last night and my breathing is not as labored. Not as winded as I climb the stairs up to our unit.

It was 27 when we got up this morning and, to my surprise, when we went out to go to the Rec Center, the Hot air balloon was flying about a 1/4 mile south of us. We hadn't seen the balloon this year. I figured it was too late in the year or too cold to fly.

Here it is before 10am, and now the temps have risen to almost 40 already and it feels like "no jacket required". Hummmm, that reminds me a a great music album from my past.

Welcome back Dan. Not sure I could go back to the C4. I loved my 94, but my C6 is so much more comfort, performance and creature comforts.

That being said, I love the looks of the C4 and wouldn't mind having one as a sister to 007. The other half has a lot to say about that though.

Well, with the weather, We headed over to the Rec Center, then we went for a drive around the area. Around the lakes here in the resort area, downtown to check out the "Springs". Thinking we will go there Thursday night.
On the way back to the resort area, we saw signs for Chimney Rock National monument.......Let's drive out there! There is road construction on the way out there and we found out that the actual visitor center is closed and we could only get off the road and walk up a little ways to take some pictures. Cliff dwellers lived up there 1000 years ago.

On the way back we noticed the heavy cloud cover at the higher altitudes to the east... ie Toward Wolf Creek Pass. We talked to a couple earlier today that said they had come over WC this morning, and "... it was a mess" Snow and snow packed roads, people and cars sliding off the roadway, CDOT, CO highway patrol troopers everywhere and wreckers. Well, with the looks of things they are getting more this afternoon.

Rosie decided it felt like a chili day, so, she made a big pot of chili....she was right, chili hit the spot.

Morning guys....A nice morning here in the Rockies. Last night the wind came up and was howling for about 30 minutes and this morning, it is drizzling. 36 now and is supposed to only move into the low 50s.

Nothing on the agenda really, was thinking about golfing again, but not if it is going to be like this. Might do some sight-seeing.

Thanks for the read, John. I checked the suitability of this laptop I carry with me, and it doesn't measure up somehow on the CPU.

Not sure I want to upgrade anyway.

4 mile bike ride...definitely NOT used to the altitude yet......

Hey guys, chilly here when we got up 27, but warmed quickly into the 50s. Decided to go out and try golfing late this morning. Upper 50s at that point. For not playing for nearly 6 weeks, I struck the ball well and ended up bogey golf.

Low 60s now, but breezy. Headed to a bike ride now then out to eat.

Yes, Tommy, the old girl looks pretty sharp.

It has warmed into the upper 50s already. Just about ready to go for a bike ride.

Morning guys from the beautiful Colorado Rockies. Sunny, bright and chilly here this morning. 24 when we got up, 33 now, headed toward the middle 60s.

Rosie made bacon and eggs for breakfast, and is now prepping some meat for tonight’s supper meal. We’ll go for a bike ride pretty soon.

Hey guys, we left early for SW Colorado. 7 hours later we arrive at the resort. It was VERY chilling when we got up, 27 and was only 31 when we left. 2 hours away from home the clear skies allowed us to see the mountains (still 2 hours away) and quite a few appeared to be snow covered.

As we got closer we could see, for sure, the higher elevations were snow covered. The first pass we crossed, Le Veta pass, a little over 9000’ had some snow in the tree protected areas, but roads were clear. In the high SanLuis valley the temps rose into the low 60s. Then as we climbed back out and headed higher up toward Wolf Creek pass (almost 11000’) the snow was very prevalent and was piled along the sides of the road, but was melting as the temps were in the low 50s. As we got to the sky area, we could see cars parked and snow boaders going up the mountain and some coming down. Later my oldest daughter told us that Wolf Creek opened this weekend.

When we arrived at the resort, temps were in the mid 60s. Supposed to be upper teens overnight tonight but back into the low 60s again tomorrow.

Hey guys, another busy day and then a trip south to almost Oklahoma to watch GS run his XC meet.

That is one TOUGH XC course! He ran well, did not PR (personal record) but ran well despite the tough course.

One more day before leaving for Colorado. But I have a lot to do in the shop. GS #2 is coming home from K-State for the first time since we moved him up there in the middle of August. A long time for him to have been away from his family for the first time. Also we have the last home football game, so I have to be there by 6pm.

Letty, maybe you should call a mechanic....SORRY, I couldn't help that. I'm sure Aron can fix it for you. Bob, I hope you can get back into the swing of things. Tommy, are you saying you're Mr. Rogers replacement?

Hey guys, up and around fairly early, and busy all day. A storm blew through last night, dropping about 30 drops of rain and about a foot and a half of wind. South and east of us, they had a tornado last night, didn't hear about any damage.

This morning, it was pretty chilly but warmed up nicely this afternoon, upper 60s and very light breezes. Perfect day. Supposed to be a very similar tomorrow.

I got a lot done in the shop....

tomorrow, more work in the shop, then taking the afternoon off to make the drive an hour and a half south (almost in Oklahoma) to watch XC meet. Probably the last one we'll get to see this year. Next week, we will be on vacation, in the mountains of Colorado.

Hey guys, up early and off to the church hall to set up, cook and then cleanup breakfast for parishioners. Served over 60 people...not a huge number, but the last one we did we served about 40, so we are gaining. We had 7 Knights there to help cook and serve, a good time to work with the guys.

After we got home, I called #3GS (who turned 17 today) to bring his car over and we put new shock on it. He learned a lot and did a majority of the work. When we finished with the shocks, he asked to wash it, so we washed it. I noticed that there was very little (almost NO beading of the water). I felt the surface and it did feel too bad, Didn't think we really needed to clay bar it, but did have him spread a coat of wax (real wax) and treated the windows with RainX. for an ols car it looks pretty good, and it is good to see GS take some pride and interest in doing some maintenance on his car.

Rosie and I went for a 5 mile bike ride. It has been a pretty cool day 48 when we went up for the breakfast, 63 when we came home, 60 when we went for our bike ride and 58 now.....Weather gurus are saying a frost Thursday night and freeze possible Friday night. Not quite the Fall Tommy is experiencing, but I have a feeling this cool snap is headed for Gris and Letty.

Hey guys, was up early and out to the golf course...not to golf but we (local HS) hosted a BIG XC meet. I volunteered to work. I would be there anyway, watching my #3GS. Finished up at the meet and home by around 1:30. A former student texted me on the way home and was at the house wanting advice and information. By the time he left it was time to ready for church. Church over, Rosie and I went for a bike ride......Supper soon.

Tomorrow, our KofC is hosting a breakfast after church, that should take care of the morning. In the afternoon, I am hoping #3GS and I can swap shocks and (hopefully) brakes on his car.

How's the knee doing Bob? A lady I went to school with and then we both ended up teaching together here, for more than 30 years and we retired the same year, has needed both knees done...heck, longer than I needed mine (had mine done 8 years ago now), finally got her first one done last week. she's getting along pretty good with it. She's having the second one done in November.

Hey guys, Yup, cabinets came in.....not good, but they are here. FedEx driver tells me there are three pallets, so when he opens up the trailer (I'm the last delivery of the day, so my stuff is all that is on) I see two pallets as I expect and one NOT. They package the parts up in special boxes, well one pallet just had cabinet pieces shrink wrapped to the pallet. I told the driver that wasn't 'normal'. And once I got them all unloaded, I could tell they (FedEX) had, apparently, dropped the pallet and the pieces were strung all over, and they ditched the box and just shrink wrapped the pieces to the , now trashed, pallet. Rosie and I went through all the pieces separating the damaged pieces out. I don't even know if all the pieces are there. I've contacted the company and they will replace anything missing or damaged...one reason why I deal with them.

Last week, I had been asked if I do any pro=bono work. They were concerned about a lady, who about two years ago was involved in a really bad car accident and nearly died, but has worked her way back, but still has walking problems. She is the owner of our local flower shop (while she was in the hospital, friends kept the shop open for her so she would go bankrupt. Anyway the concerned citizens were woried about a ramp she uses to enter the backdoor (where she goes in and out), so I went by to look at it and speak to her. She, very humbly, said it worked ok, but in reality, it was quite feable. Her concern was "How much will this cost me?" "Rita, I will do this for nothing for you." She was quite taken. Then said "If you are doing that, maybe we can do something about the entry too...I'll pay you to do that one. I have lots of older people who, I'm afraid, might trip and fall." So we discussed what needed to be done there and she says "No hurry, whenever you get to it." I told her I had some nice treated lumber taken from another project that was laying around and I'd use that. So last evening I built the two ramps and about 8:30 last night I took them down and installed them so they would be done when she got there this morning. I needed to go back this morning as it was too dark for me to anchor the one. So I planned to get there and get it done before Rita got there...that didn't happen and when I got there she was extremely grateful for the work and even more surprised with the speed of which I got it done. I still need to order a post for a handrail on the front ramp so I can put the handrail up. All I am going to charge her foris the post I have to order as all the other pieces were left over from other jobs. She doesn't know that yet. she's a sweet gal, I don't mmind doing it for her. Rosie says I'm really building my reputation around town doing these Pro=bono jobs for older people.

Been working all morning on three cabinets, need to get back out there and finish them up (as much as I can).

Morning guys... Hectic morning already. I woke up about 6:45 thinking, on Tuesday, I propped the garage door, at the storage shed, in prep of the FedEx delivery...which as you might remember, didn't happen. I'd forgot that I had done that. So it's been propped (about an inch is all) since Tuesday morning. I had horror thoughts that someone found it and cleaned out the shed. So I jumped up out of bed, got dressed and filled my pockets with the stuff I normally carry, but then I couldn't find my phone and started looking all over for that. Didn't find the phone anywhere in the house, so decided to go check the shed. Luckily, everything there was fine (you'd really have to look to see that it was propped), so came back home to find the phone. Finally, decided the last place I could remember having it was at my Knights of Columbus meeting, so I went back up to the Hall to see if I'd left it laying somewhere there. I walked in the back door, looking on the ground where I'd parked my pickup, then inside and looked where I'd been handing the Tootsie Rolls out (Our Tootsie Roll drive is happening next week) and there on top of the water heater laid my phone. Thank you Lord for letting me find it.

I think I'll go out this morning and try to peddle those Tootsie rolls. FedEx is SUPPOSED to deliver my cabinets today. They called yesterday and said they were there but got there too late to go out yesterday, so today is the day.

In the mean time, I have a couple of bookcases for the county library and a bathroom cabinet for a repeat client to work on.

Have a great day guys...I'm thinking of a nap......

Morning guys.... Been on the phone for the last hour getting things figured out. Talked to FedEx about my delivery, not going to happen until tomorrow now, not real happy, but it is what it is. Called the lumber company, and complained about the missing trim, they're going to see what they can do.... Then called my door company to make changes to the quote for the cabinet bid for the lady I talked with yesterday.

Going to be another busy day.

Hey guys, another busy day here. Picked up another complete kitchen cabinet job. An hour meeting with the general contractor (former student) then another hour with the owner to answer questions about the design I did and to give suggestions on a couple other issues they are facing.. I think we got some good solutions. Then back home to create some backsplash for the countertops I installed yesterday.

All this time I'm awaiting two delivery truck with materials for other projects. Yesterday FedEx Freight calls me to verify I would be around to receive the one delivery and that I had a way to unload, and what was the latest time for delivery. I assured them I would be around awaiting their call (an hour before delivery) and that I had a fork to unload. So the other delivery, my lumber supplier, the driver said I would be the last drop of the day. So I wait around hoping the calls don't come at the same time.

So I finish the backsplash and take it over to install and find I somehow mixed the measurements and have the finished ends on two pieces reversed, and mismeasured another piece, so it's too short and I get to remake that one. So 4 o'clock (my latest time agreed to by us yesterday) rolls around and I still haven't heard from FedEx, so I call them and get a run around saying they had already delivered everything to our town...."So, my delivery is sitting somewhere here in town and the driver NEVER called me?" No, the crate never got on the truck today and maybe, it will be delivered tomorrow.......BS.

So, I continue redoing the backsplash pieces and at 5 my pther delivery is here. I get it all unloaded and I say to the driver, "Where's my trim that I ordered?" So he climbes all over looking for it, "It doesn't appear to be on here. I'd like to say it surprises me...but it doesn't. Sorry." I was needing that trim to finish upanother job, was expecting it two weeks ago, but was assured by my salesman, it would be on the truck today. A call to him in the morning to chew some ass is in order.

Sorry to write a book here....just venting.

Hey guys, I got up early to put some red meat on the smoker. It was pretty chilly to be on the deck in shorts, no shirt and no shoes. Pulled the cover off, plugged it in and turned the dial to "smoke" (the starting position), then went into the house to prep the 'butt'. I looked out to notice there wasn't any smoke coming out and the display blinking at me.....Sonofabitch.... The igniter isn't working.... So I google how to replace it...not too bad a job, but I don't have a replacement. So a trip over to the 'city' is quickly hatched. Rosie says "While we are over there we might as well do our grocery shopping for the week." So we end up spending all morning. No big deal, but it puts the smoking on the 'back burner' so to speak (Don't hate me). Once we get home, I unload and start the replacement of the igniter. While the smoker is all torn down, I figure I 'may as well' clean it all up nice. So then I 'fire it up' (don't hate me) and decide, I may as well go ahead and throw the butt on and cook it...it will be meals throughout the week. It's 9pm now and I'm just about ready to tear it apart...actually driving me crazy it smells so good.

My Royals are done for the year and Salvy Perez couldn't hit another Homer to take the home run record all to himself. He's tied for the Royals record. He's had a great season, even if the team hasn't. Wait 'til next year.

Hry guys, up and out too watch GS run his XC race. Was drizzling when we got up, drizzled all the way over to where the races were held, drizzled the entire time we were there, drizzled all the way home and finally quit about the time I went to church.

Ordered a pizza and picked it up when we got back to town and didn't even get to eat a slice before Father called and needed help with putting his new freezer into place.

Then home to grab a quick bite of pizza then clean up and go back for church at 4.

Now with that over, Rosie and I have our bike ride out of the way...I'm ready to settle in for the evening.

Hey guys, busy day, but don't ask what I got done....not much, but was running all day. Home football tonight and it is raining. I didn't care, as I was in the press box. We pulled out a win.

I did get the pickup aligned. Gris I bought the Rough Country shocks for my pickup and installed them myself. My hands still are hurting from that. Ordered shocks and brakes for GS #3s CTS. After seeing how much difference shocks made on my pickup with 61K on the clock, I know it will really improve the ride on his 140K CTS.

Matt, TB is busier than a one-legged man at a butt kicking contest. I told the guy last night, who called me with a computer problem he needed help with, "I retired from teaching....not working". I think you'll figure that out some day, when you get old enough to retire, Matt.

Working on some kitchen design plans for acouple and while over there I got a call from one of my little old ladies who needed me to look at a problem. So I went over there and figured out a solution, then after lunch spent 4 hours cutting a big hole in the floor of her house, in a closet, so there is access to the crawl space...which was cut off by the HVAC guy running all his plumbing/venting through the existing space when he installed a new unit. Had to cut off a floor joist to make the hole large enough to get through, so that meant headering both ends of the floor joist where I cut it so the floor won't sag, now or over time. Had to go home and grab my 20 ton bottle jack to hold it up while I cut and got it headered off. then was able to replace the piece I cut out and turned it into a lift-out door. The lady told me when I was done, "I didn't expect you to be able to do the job this soon." I told her, It was just a fluke that I was able to come that quick, but that I was waiting for materials and it just worked out.

This evening went over to another job I have, to replace some laminate countertops and arranged to start that Monday. Back home to work on the cabinet bid for the couple.... finished that up about 9:30pm.

Morning guys...Another day in paradise. Cloudy, cool and a little bit damp...from a sprinkle last night. 51 now, upper 60s for highs.

I've got a few things going today.

Tommy, I know what you mean, I've ordered some parts for Grandsons' car, just got to keep things running right. It's tough being grandpa and dad (His father is MIA, not complaining, we really don't want him in the picture anyway)

Matt, Not only the month, but this year is flying by. Your picture was quite humorous....freaking crazy how the meth-head thinks...really is scary, because you know they don't think properly and will do anything to support their habit.

Hey guys, up and around at normal time, but not a lot of motivation. Blood donation at 1pm so didn't want to get too carried away with anything.

Rode the bike up for the donation, then afterward, went for our normal ride, just earlier....and a bit warmer temps. Not really hot, 82, but warm today and the weather gurus are saying some rain in the near future.

Hey guys, had a full post ready to go and "poof" it disappeared.......

I'll try again... Up normal time and ran some errands around town. Came home and the front struts for the pickup had been delivered and were sitting there next to the garage, so I decided to install them.

The ones I ordered included shocks and springs and the springs are supposed to raise the front of the pickup to level it out from a 'nose down' attitude.

I watched several YouTube vids on replacing these units and picked up a few tips. So I started on the passenger side and within a few minutes I had the old unit out. The new unit, however, wasn't as cooperative and I fought it for at least an hour. Finally I had to remove the sway bar end link entirely, to get the A arms down far enough to get the bottom of the shock into position to bolt it down. the problem was the 2" raise spring.

Well, once I got that figured out, the driver side went off and back on within about 20 minutes. All the vids I watched only had you loosen the sway bar links, but with the longer spring travel, I needed that extra play, I guess. Anyway, I've got an appointment to have the front aligned Friday...and without a doubt, the front sits higher than it did before...by about 2"

Letty, that looks like a neat spa. Tommy, you need to drive those cars more, sitting isn't so good on those. Gris, they might get back together.

Got a dinner tonight to attend at the 'Senior Center", better go get cleaned up.

Well evening folks. Home from the funeral. Saw some extended family we hadn't seen in a while.

We took 007 as the weather was warm and dry. It also afforded me a chance to try out the new steering wheel. I did a review

http://www.corvetteforum.guru/modules ... 8&forum=53&post_id=290243

After we got home, I unloaded, filled with fuel, washed and put 007 on the lift.

After seeing this post in the "What did you do to your C6 this weekend?" https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/c ... d-260.html#post1603824547 I ordered one of these wheels. My main reason for doing so was the additional space awarded with the flat bottom to ease entry/exit of the car...not necessarily when I'm out and about in the car, but when I have it on my lift in my garage. As you can see from the pictures, I don't have a lot of room for getting in or out of the drivers side when it is on the lift.

Resized Image
Resized Image
Resized Image

Installation was reasonably easy and straightforward, I watched a few videos on YouTube to help me through that portion. Anyone interested can find and watch those. This review is going to cover my thoughts after interacting with it on a 5 hour round trip.

First off, I am totally impressed with the engineering that went into this design. The carbon fiber sections are a matt finish and look great. The Leather sections are, kind of, cheap feeling compared to the OEM wheel leather. I'm going to treat them with an oil to see if I can alleviate that condition. The appearance of the wheel is a little odd at first glance, but in actual use, they feel great.

The 'accepted hand position (at least when I took drivers ed in the early 70s) was at "10 and 2", so, my first inkling when I climbed in was place my hands at those points. The contours of the wheel fit perfectly. The heel of the thumb rests perfectly in those contours. And the fingers rest comfortably in recesses on the other side.

Resized Image

With your hands a little lower more like '2:30 and 9:30' your thumbs rest on those recesses on the front.....this was my favorite position.

Resized Image

So you might think, by looking at the wheel, those are the only positions that work well. Well, you'd be mistaken. Moving my hands down to the '3 and 9' position, they fit very comfortably and was easy to feel and control from there. The moving them down to the '4 and 8 position feels very natural as well and the contours fit the hands as though it was designed that way...which I'm sure it was.

Resized Image
Resized Image

Even putting hands at the top and bottom of the wheel feels pretty good, albeit a bit slick.

Resized Image

In the end, it didn't matter where I placed my hands, the contours of the wheel fit my hands and was very comfortable.

Now for the reason I first bought this wheel. The flat bottom adds about an inch in extra room for entry/exit, but I really didn't realize how much the extra room was appreciated while driving down the road.

I'm totally impressed with the feel, look, function and price of this wheel...I would recommend this wheel .

Morning guys.... not as cool this morning, 60 and headed toward near record highsin the upper 90s today.

Not much on the agenda here either. We'll leave for central Kansas mid afternoon so we can get to the funeral home by 6 or shortly thereafter. Spend the night with Rosies' sister and BIL.

Speaking of replacing parts on cars, Matt, I ordered new shocks for the Silverado. The rears arrived about an hour ago, they are on already. The fronts are supposed to be here Tuesday....they will take a bit longer to install. I ordered them with springs installed that will raise the front to a level position, instead of 'nose down'. Probably should have an alignment done after I get those on.

Morning guys....Chilly here 48 now but headed to the mid 80s.

A lady that called me about doinga countertop for her a couple weeks back called again yesterday to update me on when I can come do it. She's waiting on the appliance guy to come back and stack the washer/dryer. She told me the plan had changed a bit and that she needed me to move the upper cabinets that are above the w/d from one side to the other. So went out yesterday afternoon to do that ahead of the appliance guy coming back. It was pretty straight forward, but, when I got them moved, the corner the cabinets were covering was all hacked up from the existing install. The sheetrock finisher had built the corner up so much the cabinets wouldn't fit square, so they hacked up the rock. I knew that wasn't going to work, so I went home and grabbed my sheetrock tools, tape and mud and went back out to fix that. It's never as easy and straight forward as things appear. I got a pretty smooth finish with the one coat, but I probably will have to go out and put a second coat on, I've left that up to her, if she wants me to come put another on, she's yo call me.
