Well, I've been quarantined...#2 and her SO both tested positive. Me, I spent the day in the shop working on my grandfather clock. I just tire a little quicker, so I pace myself. I actually feel better when I'm busy than when I just sit around.

Morning guys... Not feeling at the top of my game.

Pretty chilly this morning. 16 when I got up, but supposed to make a comeback this afternoon, 55 is the predicted high.

I'm headed to the shop to clean up and prepare for what's next.

Morning guys.. pretty chilly and quite breezy today. Right at freezing with 25-30mph breezes from the north (Thanks Marc) makes it feel a tad bit cooler.

Not much going on here.

Hey folks.... cloudy and chilly out on the high plains.

Talked to a former student (in his early 40s) today who had the C19. Said he lost his sense of taste and smell only about 4 days after he tested positive. And just now, 3 weeks later, is getting it back. He said he never really got sick.

Went out to the shop and finished up the chess board for GD#1, a present for her boy friend.

Got church coming up later.

Morning guys...Sunny and cold this morning, 27 now (9am), but they are saying low 50s for a high.

We had 7 total for our meal yesterday, 2 turkeys (smoked 13 1/2# and baked 22#) and all the fixings, mashed potatoes, dressing, gravy, sweet potatoes, pumpkin dessert and pecan pie. LOTS of leftovers, but we sent everyone home with meals for the week.

Still feeling pretty good, not 100%. I think (maybe in my head) a slight loss of taste and smell....I hope that is in my head. This morning seems to be normal though.

Morning guys...feeling better today. We have local family coming over today. GS #1s fiance is bringing her hair-cutting stuff over to give Rosie and I haircuts. We usually have #3 do that, but they aren't travelling this Tgiving and we need haircuts. And in return, I'll be changing the oil in her car.

Marc, I hope you are doing ok after the drugs wore off.

I trust everyone will have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Sucks that you have buy a new tire, Mike. And that you had to put the pet down. Must be the week for HDD going down, I've had three brought to me where I've replaced. in the last couple weeks.

Got no room for a TV either one of those sizes. I've got room for a very specific 55". I've got an opening in the cabinetry I built that is 48 1/2" wide x 33" tall. I have found 2 55" TVs the should fit (without modification to the cabinetry) 48.4" It's a matter of time before I can acquire one.

Feeling a little better this afternoon, but still tired.

Morning guys...Still not 100%. No headache, still have smell and taste, developing a fever blister on my upper lip and just tired. I feel better now that I am up and moving around. Still laying low and avoiding people.

Prayers sent your way, Marc.

From the University's epidemiologists: "new loss of taste or smell" is the closest symptom there is to a positive confirmation, but not losing taste or smell doesn't mean you don't have it.

John I WAS aware of that. I'm just keeping a low profile for a couple days.

Maybe, I had the flu shot back in Sept. Usually, after having the flu shot, if I get the flu it's a really light case. Something is going on though.

Morning guys.... Last night I started getting a little tickle in my throat, overnight, a mild headache and this morning, no energy......sound familiar? I'm not going in for testing unless I get a lot sicker. This might affect our hosting T-day as well.

Brining my Turkey. Just got it in the bag. I'll smoke it tomorrow. Rosie to the giblets and is cooking them tonight. And I'm talking the TURKEYS' giblets not mine!

Finished the flag case and sent pictures to SisIL to show Dad...he was pleased. Also made some Christmas signs as presents.

Morning guys... Cool but seasonable this morning. 46 now headed to the lows 60s they say. Kind of dreary though. It sprinkled overnight.

Rosie working, so I said I'd do supper. Going to to Mac and Cheese. Found a recipe that I think will work good. I'll put it in the cast iron skillet and on the smoker.

I need to go to the lumberyard and have a piece of glass cut for the flag case.

Glad I'm not Tommy today....I hate f@*king plumbing....I have ever told you guys that? I think maybe I've meantioned it once.

Morning guys...up a little early, but not too motivated. Watched a 007 movie on Pluto TV and went out to the shop to prep a few things. Rosie is starting to put Christmas up. I drug the tree out of the basement for her.

Cold start to the day, but warming to the mid 50s today...very typical temps for this time of the year.

Our Thanksgiving gathering is shrinking by the day. #3 and family let us know they won't be travelling because of the Kung Flu. So we are down to just the locals. Rosie is cooking her turkey today, I'll put mine on the smoker tomorrow or Tuesday.

Have a great day guys.

Hey guys, up early and out the door before 7:30. Sprinkling and light rain for the first hour. Not raining when we get to the church. Very small crowd, mostly close relatives. Dad, Rosie and sister. Dad's sister and a few of her kids, A couple other cousins and a few close friends of the family.

Uncle Donnie was a Korean Vet, so a crew from Fort Riley was there and presented the flag to Dad. I brought it home and will build a case for it.

Didn't make it hoe in time to go to our church service, but getting ready to head over to the next town over to make that service.

Gee, I didn't realize Uncle "D" was 89...holey moley, never thought he was that close in age to Dad. 12 hours from now (7:20am), I'll be on the road to the funeral.

Thanks for the complements on the door.

Morning guys... Up earlier than usual. Cloudy day here, but the temps are supposed to be unseasonably warm and windy.

Working out in the shop today.

The Indians here Kansas have a few casinos, we've up to visit them a few times......

Morning guys...one more absolutely beautiful day on tap. Then tomorrow, more back to fall-like, weather and Saturday more like winter.

If you missed late yesterday, I finished the front door. Next project up for us, is a new grandfather clock. All my parts are here so I can now progress with the design.

We got word, late Tuesday that Rosie's Dad's bachelor brother was found in his home. No idea when he passed, but had been a few days. Funeral Saturday and I am a pall bearer. Will have to get up early as the funeral is almost 3 hour drive away and it is scheduled for 11 am. With the Kung Flu running rampant, we decided going to stay with FIL isn't smart...we don't want to put dad at risk.

Got the cabinet delivered then ran errands the rest of the morning. Went to the 'city'to pick up the glass for the door. Not cheap for three insulated panels, but, what the hell, the whole door wasn't cheap.

Morning guys... slept in and was awakened by a knock on the door. By the time I got up, they were gone. So I just took my shower and got ready for the day.

Going to deliver the one cabinet today. Then this afternoon I'm headed to the 'city'

Hey guys, another busy day.

Fences....I don't like them. Neighbor on south put one up all on his own. People on the north no fence. Don't need anything on the east (back) my shop pretty much takes care of that side. Good luck with your dilemma

Gris, I hope things work themselves out with the wife. Nice that the staff at the vet clinic was so understanding.

Letty, still saying prayers for your cousin.

Hey guys, another day another dollar....spent. Working on one of the two cabinets today...drawer slides came in, so finished that portion and got a commitment from the client on what to do for the top. So started on that.

It was a gorgeous day here today.

Covid is running rampant here in our little community. I believe some restrictions are headed our way. Masks in all public areas, or fines are due... starts Wednesday.

My friend, who got it, is not quite back to 'normal' but was released to go back to work. Rosie's sister, back in central Kansas, got it and will be free to go back to work tomorrow....both described their experiences as extremely tired, hacking cough and a fever for a few days...luckily neither had to be hospitalized. School has been hit pretty hard and I think they may be going hybrid.

More tomorrow.....

Morning guys...slept in today. Chilly this morning, 32 now, but headed to mid to upper 50s.

We have a Knights of Columbus meeting today...you know, that group of guys that Kamala Harris described as a 'Terrorist group'.... yea, she did.

Going out to the shop to piddle around until we have to go to the meeting.

Have a great day guys.....

Morning guys...Slept in a bit. Supposed to be in the 70 today with a mild breeze (up to 50mph).

Church this afternoon and then headed to the 'city' to celebrate #2s birthday (41) which is later in the week.

I'm, more or less, at a standstill in the shop with the two cabinet jobs until Tuesday or Wednesday, when my lumber truck comes by. I ordered a grandfather clock movement and all the other stuff to make it work. Been wanting to build a new clock in the Arts and Crafts style for a LONG time. The clock movement seller had a 20% off sale earlier in the week, so I pulled the trigger. Saved $125. It was delivered yesterday. My windows for the new front door are supposed to be here Wednesday as well, so hopefully, I can get that project completed and installed.

Have a great day guys.

Still just 28 now (9am), but sunny and headed toward the low 50s...don't think the shop door will be open today.

Hey guys, I too graduated in '73....my number was like 52, if they had continued the draft, I would have been drafted (more than likely). I did go to school, but not sure if deferments were on the radar then. Didn't matter anyway. Rosie and I got married in 75, and went to work in the oil-field.

I have the utmost respect for those who served.

Letty, I thought you were done with that gal. what a PITA. A quick trip over to the 'city' this morning to pick up more of that plywood I got Sunday for another project. Came home and worked on that one and a few other things.

Not quite as nice of a day, a bit cooler. Supposed to be in the 70 by Saturday.

Morning guys....pretty chilly here this morning, 28 for the low. No wind...yet, and sunny! Mid 50s, for a high, is predicted.

I need to go remove a basement door that was removed so a new furnace could be taken down, then re-installed chitty. The HVAC company is paying to have it done right.

Guess I better get going.

Bob, we don't get a 'mailbox', not at the house anyway. We have to go to the PO to pick up our mail. We pay extra for 'city' services and the state assesses for the schools...locally we don't have any choice. The sheriff is our police force as well and we fund the fire/EMS through those property taxes. We also have a hospital that we fund the difference of cost/what they bring in, which is getting closer to a break even.

Warm this morning, but more than a bit breezy. Tomorrow is going to be considerably cooler.

Glad to hear the pup is responding to treatment, Gris.

hey folks, slept in then headed to the 'city' for groceries and pick up some materials I needed for a couple projects.
Came home and decided to work on those things for a while.

It was a nice day, temperature-wise, mid 70s, but a bit breezy. Supposed to be nearly the same tomorrow. Then the cold front comes roaring in, and is supposed to stay with us for a week or so.

My house is close to that, Tommy ($3200)...but none of those extras are included with ours....we pay extra each month for that....but they do supply and dump the big trash dumpsters (4 of them placed on our block in the alley) twice a week for $10/month.

Morning guys...Supposed to be warm today (70s), but windy as h3ll. .I checked with my buddy, he's not 100%, but feeling pretty good. Rosie talked with the health nurse (her former job) and told her what my interaction with my friend was, and I am not quarantined.

Helped the other friend with siding yesterday morning. I really need to back the Caddy out and give it a quick rinse off. Maybe do the pickup as well.

hey guys...busy day here. Rosie and I have our own division of labor. She cleans the house (for the most part) and makes meals (for the most part), I take care of the vehicles. She takes care of the bills (for the most part).

She starts back to work tomorrow....subbing for the gal that took the place of the gal who took hers.... the little gal is on maternity leave, so Rosie is going to help out on Mondays and Fridays.

News from the guy I helped Tuesday afternoon...he went home that day, not feeling well and got worse overnight. Went in for a test yesterday. This evening he sends me a text that he tested positive...I'll probably be quarantined tomorrow. Not showing any signs yet.

Well, it was warm enough for short sleeves here today. Helped a contractor friend this afternoon set some laminated beams (1 3/4" x 10" x 23' long) for a roof of a deck.

Haven't turned on any election returns, so have no idea what is happening there.....trying to wait until the 10pm news......

Morning guys...Up and around already. We voted 10 days ago. #2 is working the election today.

I'm headed out to the shop to get a few things done.

Yea, Gris, you are right, I'm preparing for craziness, different craziness, depending on which side wins. Hoping for the left to start off being cry babies, because the election 'was rigged' on it is being rigged...but not by the right.

Morning guys....OH, I love plumbing........ Yea, tankless water heaters. A lot of people going to them. My sis had one put in last year when I was redoing her basement. She seems to like it.

Our trick or treating was down this year...we only had 275. It was a nice evening for it. We sat out on the driveway to hand out the goodies.

Ice storms...not just for Oklahoma, we get them too...and when we do....well....not pretty. I purchased a 4000 watt generator, just for that purpose, Andy. Then I ran across another one (new open box) 4375 at HF for $138...too good a deal to pass up...so now I have two. Thankfully, so far haven't had to use them for that purpose....of course, you have to have moisture in order to have ice. We are popcorn fart dry out here.

Morning guys...MIA yesterday. Up early and off to see FIL. he was receptive to my help and we worked on things for over an hour. Then went out to the small town where Rosie's sister lives, as one of her daughters' bought some property and is going to build a house there, so Dad has been going out to watch the progress. So far all they have accomplished is cleaning the jungle out. Yesterday, they actually bulldozed the old house and were cleaning up that mess as well as removing more trees and shrubs.

By late afternoon we took dad home and headed home ourselves. Got a call from our priest, he used to be at a town near where Dad lives, and when he heard we were going to be there, he asked us to stop by a small meat packer/butcher shop to pick up some 'special cuts' for him. He called ahead and had it ready for us to pickup. So we ran by there to pick up his "pig hearts". Got home just in time for the special church service Father has been having this week. He was tickled about getting his "pig hearts"

It was such a nice day, we took 007. Always a good day when I can drive him. When I was getting him ready, I found the hood struts wouldn't hold the hood open, and about 5 miles down the road, I got a bad TPMS senor, front right. I was going to replace all of them this spring when I put new tires on, but because of C19, I decided to wait on doing tires until next year, so I'll do the sensors then. I did come home and order new struts.

We need to make a run to the 'city' this morning to grab a few groceries.

Hey guys...busy, most beautiful day here.

I kind of like your ideas for your funeral, Bob...I can't understand why the missus won't go along with it. No big, outlandish, funeral for me. Fry my butt to a crisp and throw my ashes in a field.....

Going to see FIL tomorrow...

Hey guys, went out to the shop to try and finish up mounting drawer fronts and doors. Pretty much a slam dunk, so arranged to deliver and install the cabinets in the afternoon. Was right in the middle of that when my alarm went off to go to my massage session... so I went hoome and readied myself for that...tough to get going after that...so relaxed, but I headed back over and almost finished...I'll go back in the morning to finish that job up. The lady wants me to to do a formica countertop in her garage as well.

Warmed up enough this afternoon that I felt I could spray the finish on the doors and drawer fronts. Still pretty chilly, but, no wind, so I made it work. Now, tomorrow, I'll be able to mount doors and drawer fronts on the cabinets. Maybe a chance to install those cabinets by Friday.

Headed out to the shop to try to get a few things accomplished.

Andy, I hope that your son's resto business goes well.

Matt, say it's not so.... quitting the tool business? Or are you just putting it off until spring? You've got such an inventory....

Gris, I hope the roads improve for you folks.
