Tried to buy a tranny filter for my 1986 4+3 tranny, from a G.M dealership this week and low and behold the part is discontinued here in Canada . Anyone else come across this?

I already checked the tech library ,the diff. fluid change says add 2 bottles of additive and nothing about the amount of gear oil. I think it might be about 2 quarts
My biggest concern is the tranny. Makes you wonder why these capacities are not in the owners or service manuals.

Hi All
Changeing the Diff. & tranny fluid (doug nash 4+3 ) on my 1986 Z51. Checked all the manuals for fluid amuonts but cannot find anything. Any help would be appreciated . Oil capacity for the differential manual trans overdrive unit Thanks
