I remember from the other board that you mentioned that you played bass in times past. I very recently hooked up with my daughter's friend's dad and his long time friends that are all around my age, I'm 52 and they are all late forties, to form a party band and play all the old rock from the past! They all worked for Guitar Center in Hollywood CA. many years ago. I am now playing bass in this outfit and it sure is a lot of fun to make some real honking noise again!!! If anybody had told me that I would be 52 and playing the same tunes I did as a kid in my high school garage/party band I would have thought NO WAY. Now that this is happening, it's so much fun that I can't wait until the next session. I guess we never outgrow certain things from our past...
On the other front, it rained about an inch here overnight but this morning the sun is out and things are starting to dry up. Still a little chilly! Maybe I'll have to round up my buddy SamIam a little later on and go over and goad HRR (Hot Rod Ron) into doing some of that welding work on his Elko.... :toothy5:

Hey folks-
My buddy Hot Rod Ron turned me on to this site, and what a cool site it is...
I got kicked off that "other board" for what they said was an offensive avatar. It looked just like me, so I still don't understand what their problem was. The only thing that comes to mind is F*** 'em if they can't take a joke...Obviously they couldn't...
Biggrizzly, My wife is always saying "you're a slave to those Corvettes", hence VetteSlave! The wife gets credit for the name.
