I have been racking my brain trying to figure this out. My mom says i am A.D.D., so I can't think about it too long LOL

anyway, on my truck, the tires are TALLER than stock. When I drive, I know that my speedo off by about 4 miles/hour. When I am going 60, I am really going 64.

With that said, this would mean that my tripometer would read LESS miles than really occured, correct??

If so, can I just take and figure the percentage difference between the above 60/64 mph and apply it to the mileage I get out of a tank of gas?

I am simply trying to figure out my miles per gallon. As it stands I am getting 14.5 mpg. But, if I am getting more mileage out of a tank, I need to figure out how to get to it.

If, with your new tires, you are going 64 mph when your speedo reads 60, that's a +6.67% error. So if you drovve one hour at a constant 60 mph (by your speedometer) you actually traveled 64 miles. So, to figure your actual miles traveled you would have to increas the odometer reading by that same 6.67% and divide that figure by the gallons used.
