Hey, just wondering if anyone knows if ther is any dressup kits out ther for the under side of a c3 hood, other than the stock pad ?? I saw a c6 at the car show that had one with a chrome finish, (looked great). any info would be great , THANKS , Jimbo

Check Corvette Central. They have a mirrored hood cover for the C4, I wonder if there is one for the C3?

I've also been looking for something nicer than the stock insulation, but haven't had any luck.

A popular alternative is to just take it all out and paint the underside. I'll probably do that myself this winter, unless I come up with something else before then.

Let us know if you come across something.

Yes, I have seen some that people sand them as smooth as the outside of the car and paint them like the pics above. I think that makes a huge difference and by far the best way to spice it up.

At the car shows, most of the "fancy modded cars" have this done. I wanted to paint the underside of my C4 hood, but there is a lot of hardware on that hood to remove, so I'm just going to go with this pads that velcro into place for shows.

THANKS for the GREAT ideas !!!!! I think since my motor isn't stock i'm going to pull my hood this winter and have some airbrush work done , some really great pictures to get ideas from. Jimbo
