I just arrived at school and was sitting in my car and cut it off. A few minutes later I started it up and turned on the AC. My car started smoking from the passenger side. Cut the car off and popped the hood, and the smoke was all gone. Didn't have time to investigate and I was to pissed to look. Hope I can make it home. About 5 minutes before, my check engine light came on going down teh road. IT'S ALWAYS SOMETHING............................

I feel like I am getting annoying posting allt hese problems which for sum reason do happen upon each other but doesnt seem believeable but its true and yes it did smelled like something burning yea the air is cold because it was recharged not to long ago...Car ran fine. Now the check engine light is NOT on anymore.....I think the car knows I posted my thread on here.... Hmm....Annoying. I wiped my finger on the valve cover and saw some residue which would appear to be oil which might be what is leaking on the manifold and causing the smoke but I dno't see any stains or leaks. Plus it stopped smoking when the car was shut off and I didnt see anything leaking. I dunno....Its making me thinking about problems everytime i turn around.....

Casey is right - what code do you have? Just because the light went out doesn't mean the code is gone.... it's stored until otherwise cleared.
