Johnny im quite suprised to see a couple items here mate,

*first off is a ceiling fan, (no big deal, but this is the age of A/C)

*and second is a vent in the floor for christ sake.... Is this some sort of American joke that Australians dont get?

Floor vents were common practice a few years back but now I think all vents are either in the walls or cielings. The fan makes it nice when the AC is on blast and I hit the fan to high...its like being inside a fridge

I've got central AC, but I also have ceiling fans in almost every room.. Without them the air wouldn't circulate and push around like it does.. My rooms FREEZE!!!

Looks great Red!! :thumbright:

yea, ceiling fans are the shiznitz when it comes to optimizing the AC.

you can lower the AC settings, but keep the rooms cooler! saves $$$!

Also, floor vents are very common on retrofit houses. I know my mom's old house back in Delaware has floor vents. It's easier than cutting into the walls... yuck.

A/C must be very different over there. You blokes must need bigger units if they are struggling without the assistance of a ceiling fan. 3 out of 4 of the units i have here in my house will blow as hard as the ceiling fan anyway, but it distributes the air far more evenly around the room.

It did but the floor needed refinished which would have cost $800 plus repair. The floating system cost me 460 to include the hallway! I saved a bunch of money right there
