Not sure were to start,I have a 1984 and my wipers work only on low position, no delay and no high speeds.
can anyone who had the same issue please tell me what is needed to be replaced. the door wiper switch is new. is it the motor or the board? |

Per FSM diagnostic chart:
Wiper has "LO" speed only - probable cause is faulty motor. Other than that, you can do the wiper motor module input voltage test to measure the voltage coming from the switch to the board, to verify it's getting voltage. Matthew |

It's not that hard, really. It is the big dull silver thing on the top of the firewall, between the distributor and the power brake booster.
Also, check the wiring harness. On the early C4s, the harness will break down from heat and chemicals. Once it starts, things go bad fast. So if the harness isn't snug, things stop working. |

If you decide to replace the door switich it is tough to find and very few after market ones. My chevy dealer found one in Arizona. Before I had a chance to install it I was working on some wires under the stearing and low and behold the wiper satrted working for the last 5 months. The part # ACD# D6371A GM# 10045832.
