The air conditioner pulley is squealing on my 85. The noise is constant, varies with the RPM and is coming from the front of the pulley. The belt is new and the air conditioning works. Any suggestions? Is it repairable?

Depends, if you're sure it's not the belt (good tension), the clutch may be worn.
If you're lucky, it may be as simple as removing a shim in the clutch assembly (it's hard to tell without hearing it).

I'm not sure what the spec on an 85 is but a 92 has a gap spec of 0.020. Measured with a feeler gauge between the clutch plate and the steel housing on the pulley.

But it may also be bearings.
Good Luck
