Hi guys,
So I am doing a resto mod to my 59' and some may already be aware and know me. I am graphting in a C4 1990' suspension system and am curious what's the biggest wheel that you have or have seen under the body. Will an 8" wide tire work? on an 18" x 8" rim? Thanks for the feedback. |

I have seen some wide meats, but with the 59, I have seen some mini-tubs and flares done to the rear fenders.
Essentially, slice the fender off at the peak and widen the entire thing a few inches. When done right it looks awesome. Are you modifying the existing C1 chassis, or are you using an aftermarket chassis or making your own? One of the problems with the OEM chassis is that the rails get in the way. The aftermarkets narrow the rails a bit, IIRC. Paul Newman and SRIII Motorsports both make chassis.
