That is the bom, yo. Took no time at all to install the ZF6 in my Vette.

It works. If you are ever having issues with a transmission install, this is the jack.

I found it very helpful when installing the ZF6. The smaller cheap jack will do the A4 ok.

The problem with the ZF is that the manual is much narrower, and it will trap itself into that V on the tray. It's much easier if you have a flat surface.

Also, the jack is strong enough to actually lift the car off the stands! So it has the ability to help align the c-beam.

More C4 specifics in my FIRE! thread in C4 tech.

We used the smaller one to install my son's transfercase and transmission in his jeep chekeree. We beefed up the plate the strap is on to hold the transmission. We used the 1/2" impact to make it go up and down. iT HAS BEEN used on several jeeps.

figure that the older jack had been used to R&R at least 6 transmissions... I loaned it out a couple of times.

The plate was all bent up... and the strap is busted... so this new jack rocks it in many ways.

I've used the smaller one on my ZF6 and 4+3 probably 5 times in all. The top is slippery so it could use some grip tape or a thin piece of plywood attached.

The height of the ZF on there with shifter attached requires that you get the back of the car up high on 6 ton stands if you want to roll it it all in place.

That larger once looks like it'd work with quads and motorcycles too.

When i had my throwout bearing fail far from home, first thing I did was buy another set of 6tons and that trans jack to get it fixed, after which I gave them to a friend.

I have the big jackstands... not 6 ton, but 3500 lb each. And they will clear nearly 30 inches, along with that big ass jack I have.
