so I installed my stereo, works great.

I have a manual switch for the antenna if I listen to stuff other then the radio since there is only one remote lead

Anyway, I need to narrow down an issue

the 1" and 4" seem to not always work on one side, 6.5 works all the time, these are fed from a 3 way crossover. I think the crossover is bad, it does not sound as full as the other side. sometimes it does but mostly does not..

I have to think it is not the amp as the 6.5 still plays music. I hated the other 2 way crossovers with the 6.5 on a separate channel as the other crossovers seemed less quality

I need to swap again to something, I have a pair of MB Quart Crossovers I could try, yeah I know they may not match to the speaker.. etc but I have them and it is worth trying.

But I have to ask.. it there anyway it could be the amp? I doubt it but...

anyway once I get this worked out I will be happy with the system, right now it is very weighted to the pass side

I doubt it... unless it was a frequency based clip...

is there a chance you are filtering out frequencies?

For example, you have a 4 channel amp, and are using the front channels for the left (bi-amplified) and the rear for the right... which means you might be cutting off some frequencies.

I am not cutting any frequencies incorrectly, I just checked settings tonight.. the Left plays most of the frequencies as far as I can tell. It just seems the higher frequencies are not as full as the other channel. Next plane is to swap the Left and right speaker leads and test. if it follows the speakers then it must be in the X over

I just like the bigger power in 2 channel mode and with the 2 way X overs it will not be as loud or full. and CDT crossovers are $299 for a pair (a bit outrageous) if you ask me

I have a random failing crossover in my Vette. It's fixed with a tap, so I know the crossover is bad and I keep forgetting when I am in parts order mode.

For testing purposes, crossovers are fairly quick and easy to swap out even if they don't have the same handing specs.

okay so I went out to the garage.. swapped the speaker leads on the amp.. everything sounds fine..

swapped RCAs too..all is good.. I swapped back for it to be correct and all is good. As I leaned into the center of the car it sounded better.. I have it faded for a bit more on the Drivers side, mainly due to location of the speeakers in the frame rails.

I will pay attention to it next time I drive it.. if the crossover is going bad I will need to find a 3 way replacement as I really like the full sound of them now

Found one problem..

The new nicer speaker boxes changed the aim of the 4 and tweeter.. so my leg seems to be more int he way of sound

I will leave it for now, but I might be changing it i the winter again..

Loving the App Radio though I find myself just using Slacker radio and not even turning on the tuner of the radio

I am thinking of getting an iPod to connect and leave in the car to store most of my music, just to have it on hand as I can have my Android and iPod connected at the same time

This is the next head unit I buy and try in my daily driver Durango. I don't listen to CDs much anymore, mostly just radio, but what I like about it is it's 3G capability like a Nook or Kindle, and access to apps like Gooogle Maps. In dash navigation without the huge screen, and since I have a 1.5 DIN I can't get the more common 2 DIN nav systems.

that is cool..

I have been happy with my App Radio, seems to be working great with ARLiberator. Only thing I don't like is lack of a separate antenna remote wire

Edit.. oh yeah I also would like to install a back up camera.. since I have the functionality in the App Radio
