OK, I have to replace the fuel line from the filter mounted on the frame rail, to the throttle body .

I have a few questions:

1. Is the fitting on the filter something I can buy to adapt the new line or do I have to cut the line up stream and make an additional connection?
2. I expect that the fuel line is typically stainless steel...is it?
3. I think I am going with aluminum line like this:
http://store.summitracing.com/partdet ... =700+115&autoview=sku
4. Then I can put ends on it like this:
http://store.summitracing.com/partdet ... =700+115&autoview=sku
5. Or should I use braided line like this:
http://store.summitracing.com/partdet ... =700+115&autoview=sku
6. With connectors like this
http://store.summitracing.com/partdet ... =700+115&autoview=sku

I think the AL line is easier to deal with, more ridged, and will stay in place better. I have tubing cutters and all necessary tools.

The stock line is 3/8s. I am assuming it is stainless steel. Will these AL adapters work on SS?
http://store.summitracing.com/partdet ... =700+115&autoview=sku\

My plan is to cut the 3/8 stock SS tubing behind the fuel filter. Put one of the adapters above on the 3/8SS.

Connect that with the AL tubing and run where necessary.

Once past the point of problem, repeat process on the other side of the fuel line.

I have to do both the feed and return.

Does anyone have any better suggestions?

The issue is that where the fuel lines pass between the headers and the frame is very tight and the fuel lines are too close to the headers.

TIA....

You can buy adapter fittings, check this post to your other thread

Headers and Fuel lines

Also, I do NOT recommend using aluminum tubing for fuel line (or brake
lines, for that matter.)

I'm going to try to get someone to make it out of stainless. If not, do you perfer the flexible line?
