Not a good outing for Corvette Racing, though they did improve toward the finish (in other words, it could have been worse). I can forgive Tommy's aquaplaning in the early morning, but I'm less willing to let hitting each other in pit road (again!) to pass. The crash fest made it essentially impossible to recover any laps, so 16th and 29th overall were all that could be gained. The worst part was that the C7.Rs definitely had pace—before their issues, the Corvettes were competing with the Porsche 911 RSRs, who were the class of the field (at least in the dry). On to Sebring. |
