2011 Memorial Day Car Show Winner!

Although the drivers and thier cars did not crash or kill, the spectators still came into harms way. A solid reason for taking the car to the track!!

Yeah it does suck for everyone involved. I am against street racing too even though I can't say I haven't done it. It's a shame too that more and more dragstrips are disappearing too and that may force more of these races that draw spectators. By looking at the road they were on, I can't believe the cops didn't know about it sooner. It is a pretty large route.

Although I don't condone street racing,there were several factors at fault on this one. Street racing being one of them.It is also just one of the small contributing factors to accidents in general. Others being excessive speed, talking on a cell phone while driving, putting on makeup, texting, reading, d.u.i., improper equipment, poor maintenance, driving on a suspended/revoked license and the list goes on. It's a sad day for anyone who loses a life needlessly. One guy had to identify his brothers body for the police. It's a crying shame.

You know the whole story sound wierd too, about this white Ford that comes crashing through the crowd with its lights off? Did this guy know these people? or was he just another idiot driving too fast at 3:00am with his lights out? Was he drunk? drugs? no answers, but it is just a stange scenario.
