xccter '71 New Seat Frame Bottom...Swap Cushion?

Got a nice original seat frame bottom for my '71.

The back of my driver seat frame is all twisted and generally Fk'd up with broken welds.

Anyone ever swap a seat cushion from one frame to another?

If so, can you give me the "Cliff Notes" on what's involved?

I haven't even looked yet, so if it's as simple as cutting hog rings to get it off and then stretching the leather over the new frame and new hog rings...sweet.

Thanx

Not sure myself but I may know sooner than later. My "semi-barn-find" '71 has old cracked, beat-up red vinyl interior and will be doing some mods to it over the summer.

Not quite as simple as cutting hog rings. There are wires that help form the seat. These will have to be taken loose and retied on your new frame !
