I am looking for tips on removing the door belt molding. I know remove the bolts and either go inside the door or pry the clips up from the outside are the 2 ways to do it. Which is best? I really do not want to go inside the door especially since you can't get to all of them without un bolting the regulator. Any tips on the outside removal?

What year?

Early years, 84-86ish the clips aren't even accessible from inside the door.

On my 85 there's a nut on each end and clips all across the middle. The clips get rusty and are hard to squeeze and remove without breaking or bending or tearing the hole that they go in, or bending the molding they attach to.
