The 2008 NCRS national convention will be in the St. Louis area. More specifically, it will be at the St. Charles Convention Center from July 20th to July 25th. More information is located here:

http://www.ncrs.org/2008%20Convention/index.htm

There will be a lot of gorgeous C4s there, including several going for their Crossed Flags award - the highest NCRS award for C4 originality. I'll be driving my 1985 there in an attempt to secure a Founders award - if Lauren appears a little dusty you may have to account for 1,500 or so miles she will have travelled.

Andy,

That's what the Founders award is all about - it's an award for drivers and participators. There are some cars driving in the road tour that make my 1985 look young - we have a total of sixteen (!) solid axles, including three 1957s and four 1958s.

What differentiates us in Lauren is that we're doing the road tour without a "chase" vehicle - a lot of folks are following their classics in either a newer Corvette or a tow vehicle...

I see... to be honest, if I was driving a 57 halfway across country, I would want a chase vehicle, too!!!

I am sure Lauren will do just fine!

I'm still having a hard time wrapping my head around the whole concept of NCRS and C4 being used in the same sentence.

Could we be making slow progress towards respectability?
