I posted a few weeks ago about a huge stumble when accelerating. It turned out to be the fuel pump. The fuel pump, all screens and fuel filter were replaced. When driving the other day a small stumble started. It doesnt do it all the time, but its there the majority of the time. Is it possible that the car is getting to much gas now, seeing as how there is a new fuel pump? The new fuel pump flows a bit more. Besides that I'm all out of ideas. There are no codes, wires and plugs are fine and I replaced the ignition coil a few weeks ago.

No, the regulator will control the pressure, you aren't getting too much fuel. You likely have a dirty injector or something of that nature. I'd look towards the injectors or the fuel pressure regulator. Could be a fuel line problem but I doubt it, as long as there is no fuel leak and you didn't kink a metal line while doing the work. Could also be losing fuel above the pump if it isn't hooked up tightly, or the sock on the bottom of the pump could be full of dirt again if your tank is really dirty. At least you don't have to get under the car to pull the pump and check!

The fuel pump and sock were just replaced. The engine was rebuilt last year, so the injectors are new also. Could it be that the fuel pressure is set to high? Would fuel injector cleaner would a good idea to try?
