hi all.New to the site.Have an 88' coupe, in the UK. Lovely though she is, the electric fan stays on constantly. She sits at around 180 degrees. I've been told that some a/m chips cause this. You guys would know, so I'm asking!!
My main concern is that the fan motor will burn out....

Do the fan come on when you first start the car, or does it come on when the temp hits a certain degree?

If your saying what I think your saying, then it sounds like your fan is hard wired and not wired to the temp switch
