Thanks guys, Im at work now but I will try to upload some pictures tomorrow morning. I think mine may be buried in a loom behind the motor just above the trans. Hopefully I can reach it with my sausage fingers. There is also the possibility that its not hooked up. I have a black wire similiar to the one shown in the picture by joe and its not hooked up. My wire is on the passengers side though.

Joe, while I am aware of that I cant seem to find that wire. Also and I am sure this seems stupid but what happens when you turn the distributor without disconnecting that wire?

Ok, I live in North Beverly, approx 9100 S. Western. I built the car although it was put together at my brother-in-laws shop. The guys who put the wiring back together are no longer working there. The car has had 5 separate tunes including a dyno tune. There were wiring and sensor issues that caused these all to be a waste. I just brought the car back from arkansas, where a supposed expert in fuel injection supposedly put a dyno tune on the car yet left it with a floating idle and a missing sensor. After studying the service manuals I now think I have all of the Sensors hooked up.Matt I would appreciate any help I could get I realize setting timing is easy, yet I can never seem to get it right I am looking for 32 degrees at 4000rpm. the whole computer thing throws me off.

Hey guys I could really use some help. I have a 1988 vette convertible with a ZZ383 and a first fuel injection unit. I am looking for someone who is knowledgeable with OBD1 and who can put a good tune on this motor. Presently I have a floating idle which I think would be cured with a reset of the IAC and TPS. But the real problem is I think I am leaving alot of power on the table. The car just doesn't seem that quick. I am running a 700r4 with supposedly a 2800 stall and I have no idea what has been done to the chip. Any help would be much appreciated

Hey guy's I bought a MSD#8366 to put in my ZZ383 motor with the first fuel injection unit. The shop that is helping me install called today to tell me that the distributor will not work with the existing wiring harness. What are people using and do you have any suggestions? Also the motor calls for a distributor with a melonized gear. Hoe do I tell if mine is a melonized gear? Thanks tim
