-5 when I got up. Dog didn't take long to his business.
Suppose to be cold most of the week. Got the fire burning keeping the house warm. Went out and split some wood. Not something I don't want to every day. Have enough to keep the Mrs. with wood for the week. Cheaper than running furnace.

We moved into this new house last December. That was our Christmas present last year.

This year we got tree and it felt good to decorate. We both are in a Christmas mood this year. The Mrs wanted to open a present last night but I said no we have to wait. First year in a long while we were able to get some gifts for each other which felt really good.

Super warm here this year. Temp is 63 so no white Christmas this year but that is ok.

I'm still kicking. Checking in. It turned out to be a nice day so far after they predicted rain. Bought a new to me 54" zero turn on Monday. Mowed the lawn Wed and Thurs. Today was the hard work. Walking around doing the weed eating. I forgot how much work that is. I did enjoy it though. I enjoy being a home owner again. I brought home my push mower and riding mower from my parents. Now the next project is to get them running. Change oil, new belts for the rider, and new carburetor for the push mower. Spent almost $20 on a new carburetor, for that price it isn't worth messig with the old one.

Happy Mothers day to all the Moms.
Spent the weekend at my parents house.
Gave mom a nice bottle of scotch.
Picked up my riding mower, push mower and a 3pt rototiller for the tractor. Have work to do they have been sitting for a while. Next trip down we need to pick up a 3pt chipper for my tractor.

Was cold and crappy most of the day today for the drive home.
Going to go look at 54" zero turn tomorrow.

That is about all we got.

The day started wit some sunshine then was gloomy and cloudy all day. Had to work on the tractor today. Blew a hydraulic hose yesterday. Replaced that one today to have another one blow. So tomorrow another run to O'reillys to get a couple more hoses made. They are old so some preventative measures will go along way. Not much else going on. Gad the temps are above freezing.

Thursday I had a deer not yield the right of way last week in the corvette. No one hurt. Looks like mostly cosmetic damage. No suspension damage that I could tell. Air bags did not deploy. Nothing hurt but my pride. Needless to say I was late for work. This week we are now waiting on the insurance company.

My lovely wife pointed out that it was a year ago this week that I totaled the Acadia.

Not much else happening here.
Tom hope Rosie is doing well.
It seems since you retired your more busy than when you were teaching.

As far as winter goes here I am not complaining. Been mild with mostly rain and very little snow. If it stays like this it will be fine with me.

We are finally living in the new house. Feels great to be out of the trailer. Hope everyone that is feeling down gets better soon. Now we have the arduous task of going through all the boxes that haven't been gone through in 10 yrs.
The wood stove does keep the house nice and warm. Haven't used the fireplace yet.

We have had a heck of a week so far.
My lovely wife had to ask what was next last week when we had a nail in the right rear tire of the vette with no road hazard. Won't be buying tires at the dealer any more. Road hazard wasn't offered there. Nail is right at the shoulder of the tire where the tread and sidewall is. New tire is on the horizon. Then her hard drive crashed on her laptop.
Our cat of 18yrs wasn't feeling to well on Monday. We went to the vet tonight and ended up putting her down. It was one of the hardest things I have had to do. Needless to say the Mrs. is quite upset. Things seem to happen in 3's.

We'll be making the trip to the folks house tomorrow. We'll lay her to rest in the pet cemetery at my folks place.

Looking forward to some good turkey.

On some good news we'll be closing on the new house soon. Maybe around the 1st or 2nd of December. Been looking forward to this day for a while now. Living in the fifth wheel is getting old.

We had a new radio put in the car about a week ago. Enjoying having a front facing camera and hands free phone.

Mowed the lawn yesterday and re-stacked the firewood rack that fell over due the amount of rain we had. Today was laundry day. After that washed both the truck and the car. Changed the water filters and regenerated the water softener.
We enjoyed sitting by the fire last night.

We started out rainy here, turned out to be a good day. The sun came out for a bit then got cloudy and misty. Had a wonderful Easter dinner and time by the campfire.

It was in the 70's today. Was warm enough to take the top down on the way home from church today. Other than church and grocery shopping we pretty much did nothing. Took advantage of the warm weather and cleaned the windows in the vette then rain xed the windshield.
We also grilled chops and veggie kabobbs.
The rest of the week looks like rain.

Any ways my new nickname from the wife is crash. Go figure.
We forgot how much we missed having a corvette.
I have a loose rear view mirror to fix and we need to take it back to the dealer because of a passenger air bag issue. Seems it is stuck on all the time. We did get a 3yr bumper to bumper warranty when we purchased the car. Mainly because I'm not allowed to do major work on vehicles here in the campground and with no garage I don't want work on it in the dirt.
I did enjoy cooking on the grill tonight, first of the year.

Now the fun part begins, adding our personal touch to the new vert as we get the funds to do so.
We're looking to join one of the local clubs here. Mainly to find some new friends and go give us something to do on weekends.

Believe it or not it is the republican primary also. The great Trump is being unopposed.

Well it's March. Where did Jan and Feb go?
Not much happening here. Warm day today. Went to church with the new care and the top down. Just completed the other project for today, change water filters and regenerate the water softener.
Looks like we're gonna have warm weather here for the week temps in the 50's and not below freezing at night.
Now we'er waiting to see the first Robin. That will let us know spring is just around the corner.

It's been awhile and there have been some changes here.
Last month Jan 28 I hit some black ice with the Acadia and ended up totaling it. I hit another wrecked vehicle and with the right front of the car. No injuries due to not coming to a sudden stop. Thank goodness all the safety features worked as designed. Ended up doing $26K worth of damage.

So as of today after the insurance paid things off we are now proud owners of a 2007 La Mans Blue 3LT convertible. We picked it up today and had a nice afternoon drive.

Been MIA for a while. Work has been busy and so has home life.
A couple weeks ago I self inflicted a disaster in the camper.
I accidentally blew out the black tank on the RV when I was rinsing it out. I thought the water was shut off but it wasn't. What ended up happening was the tank filled up and busted at the seems. So we've been without a potty for the last week. You all can imagine the Mrs mood was not to good about the whole situation. I finished that up today. So as long as we have the underbelly of the RV open we're going to add some preventive measures in place for winter. Heater pads for the tanks, insulated the main water pipe. We'll be adding extra insulation to help keep things warm for winter and cool for summer.

Congrats. All that hard work paid off.

Hope everyone had a great day. We didn't do much today. It was hot and humid. I put new lights on my cargo trailer. Headed to Arkansas tomorrow and I took Monday off. I'm still alive and kicking.

We had some good news today. The Mrs had her check up from surgery last week and the skin graft took. So that means is that she can talk better now that her tongue isn't tied to her gum. Next is a waiting game to make sure she is healed enough to be able to get her dentures back.

Well we didn't stay dry. The levy broke and the campground started flooding. Not the way we wanted to wake up. Well we got all packed up and moved. Been a busy day. Looking forward to a good night sleep.

Been absent for a bit. Here's the catch up. Ellen had surgery on Monday to get here tongue unpinned and a skin graft sewn in. Her checkup is on Tuesday to get the stitches and gauze taken out. With some luck the the graft will take hold and we are on our way to one day getting her dentures back. It's been a long year since being diagnosed with cancer.

I'm glad the rain has stopped for a while. The mighty Mississippi is projected to crest tomorrow evening and so far we are dry. The lord willing we will stay dry. We're not suppose to get more rain until Monday night Tuesday time frame.

Hope the car troubles aren't to bad Marcus.
