Here's what I did, still looking fresh 2 years later.
Go to a hobby or office supply store, buyt a pack of cheap brushs, different sizes. The brush in the kit sucks IMO. Grab a small plastic coffee can, pour some paint in and a little paint thinner. Stir it up. The thinner will make it easier to apply, cause the Duplicolor paint is thick, which causes the brush marks. It'll dry faster and then you can do a second coat. Between coats, do rotor hat and bracket.
I did calipers red, painted hat and brackets with Rustoleum flat black hi-temp BBQ spray. Gloss or flat is a personal preference call.

Good line about the Monday build.
With the EM long tubes, you getting any resonance?
I went with the Corsa to make it go away and if I do LT's and new cats, I'm pretty sure I'll have to whack out the resonator. The last thing I want is that drone back.

Got the tune, pulling 304 RWHP and 328 TQ. I don't know what the stock LT1 RWHP from the factory is (270?), but the tuner thought it was a strong number for the car. Notice quite a difference between 2800 and 4K RPM driving, so I guess it was worth it. I see a rear in the future (now 2.59), and since I'll have to drop stuff, that will be the time for the stall. I've considered LT headers, running a Corsa now & gotta keep cats, but if it brings back the resonance, I have no interest. I don't track the car, but I do drive it a lot, so waking it up some more should be fun. Side note, it was worth doing, WP bearings were shot at 42K, probably would have crapped out over the summer, so it saved me and AAA some adventures. Thanks for all the suggestions guys, appreciate it

I have one and keep it on all summer. Great with windows down or top off, stops all that wind buffeting in the cabin. And as Bogus mentioned, works great as a heat vent. Never noticed any window rattle.

Just replaced cam, springs, 1.6 full RR's, lifters, plugs, wires, WP on a A4 LT-1(equivalent of hot cam upgrade +) Getting a dyno tune Monday and looking for opinions on what to change, modify (want to get my money's worth). Running stock thermostat, no stall converter.
TIA.

84 to 86 had a 1 hole, 1 pin cone, on L-R front.

86-88 and 89-96 had a 3 hole with a screw arrangement. They have similar mounting plates but able to swap.

Rear mounts were all the same.

Is there any way for a 84 targa top to be retrofitted to fit a 95? I've found comments on how to fit late C4's to early C4's but not the other way around.

Thanks.

Thanks for a really great writeup and pictoral on your swap. About to do the same and was told to look this thread up by a friend. Your kindness in sharing this is well appreciated.
