Thanks - checked that but the only thing I saw referencing courtesy lights was a relay. Can't imagine they are not protected by a fuse

Sorry - the car is a 2004. Correct on the C-4 hatch lights. The hatch was open for about 6 hours during the show. Never noticed the lights being on. Funny thing though. Whatever was wrong is not happening now. Sunday night I couldn't get the lights to go off. Waited longer than 15 minutes. But yesterday and today I've checked it about six times and each time the lights have gone off - about 15 minutes. Strange.

Still trying to figure out what fuse contraols the interior lights

having a problem with my rear compartment lights. They will not turn off when the hatch is opened. They come on and go off correctly when the doors are opened and closed - takes about 30 seconds and all lights go out. However when the hatch is left open (at a car show) all the interior lights stay on. The under hood turns off properly
