so i just found out i got the 259 gear,in my 96 automatic. my next question is will the dana 36 hold up if i change the gears to 373? I believe my car will dyno out at around 400 rwhp once im done.im at 365 now with a stock revlimeter and stall convertor.

the only one of those numbers i saw that matched was the GM1. There is proably 20 sets of numbers there. thanks for that info. i got another question for ya.i want to go to a 373 gear,is it worth it and would i have to change more than gear ratio or would the dana 36 hold up to the motor.

i have a 96 collectors edition that has some work done to it.AFR 210 CC Heads,lt4 intake, comp 280 xfi cam, headers, egr, air delete, programmed by pcm4less ,recent tranny rebuild.they had the car for 6 weeks, took them 3 times to get it done, paid for shift kit but cant tell any difference, went with stock stall.msd opti.58mm throttle body, forged internals, msd 8.5 wires,10.7:1 compression ratio.stock gears(whatever that is,in od im 2200 rpm at 80 mph.custom valve covers,7qt canton oil pan, hydrolic roller lifters,1.6 rocker arms, and on and on. i have a book of receipts from previous owner.i know hardly nothing about the car so any suggestions are appreciated. chasis dyno last week best pull was 365hp 480lb torque @5100 rpm. does this sound accurate? motor has 9k miles since build in 09.

hello guys,my 96 c4 automatic(rebuilt with shift kit by a hack shop, come to find out. after keeping it for 6 weeks the 3rd time they installed the tranny,i got to drive it. it shifts fine usually, but when i drop it down into 1st and get on it the car shift automatically into 2cd,and then when i slow down it goes back into first. Is this a safety feature? my other issue is they talked me into going back with a factory stall convertor size unknown. when i get into the gas from complete stop in overdrive the car hits 6k so fast the tranny dosnt shift to 2cd before the revlimetter which was left stock kicks in.so i find myself having to let my foot off pedal to allow car to shift, but only in 1st to 2cd does this happen. i just did a chasis dyno last sunday and best pull was 365rwhp 482ft lbs torque at 5100 rpm. this car has the lt1 , afr 210cc heads, comp 280xfi HR-13 cam, programmed pcm4less,lt4 edelbrock airgap intake,30lb injectors,58mm throttle body, etc, etc etc. do i need to have it reprogrammed because of the tranny rebuild??
