1984 with Bose

After the tune up I've been getting a static noise, does not get louder with the volume, Stock AC plugs, new wires (not cheap and resistor type), new cap and rotor (non AC).
What could of happened to develop the static noise?
Re-checked all connections, no wires are touching the exhaust manifolds.
Even tried a different set of wires....didn't work.
The noise was not there before the tune up.

static does not imply ignition noise to me... I would expect a whine that varies with the engine speed.

on the C4, by each kick panel, is a main ground point, check that for corrosion. Same with the ground strap by the battery. It more than likely will require removing the battery and cleaning everything. I used a steel brush... on the end of a pneumatic die grinder, to get rid of the corrosion on my 92.

Sorry for the very late update, but the problem was the coil wires (inside). The wires has small cracks which was causing them to arc across each other. I found it when the car shut off while driving. Replaced the coil and the noise went away.
