So, my high beam switch doesn't work properly... Unless I have the steering wheel tilted all the way down or up. Seems to be a common issue because I found out the tilt trick from an old post to another forum. Before that, My high beams were stuck in the "On" position. Sure I pissed some people off while driving home tonight.
Anyway, on that "Other Forum" the suggestion was that if it works in one position, it "Should" be working in all positions of wheel tilt, unless it was out of adjustment. Does anyone have experience with adjusting this? |

I don't remember there being a slot, but it is possible.
Check the switch, on the low side of the column, near the brake pedal. |

Thats where I adjusted mine. The FSM has a great picture of the area down there to adjust. There is a lot of plastic within our column. be careful when adjusting as the piece within the top portion, turn signal/high beam lever, is real weak, and CHEAP plastic. Wish we could have the foot pedal high beam switch. |

I had a similar issue a few months ago. My high beams would not come on at all. Adjusting the switch, sliding it toward the steering wheel, was easy enough (2 screws). Getting everything out of the way so you can access it is the slow part.
