I JUST REPAIRED AN OIL LEAK THAT WAS BY MY DISTRIBUTOR WITH THE HELP OF SOME GREAT ADVICE FROM YOU GUYS,ONE OF MY CONCERNS RIGHT NOW IS THAT MY CLUSTER DOES NOT WORK SO I DO NOT KNOW WHAT MY OIL PRESSURE OR TEMP AND I AM NOT SURE IF THIS MIGHT HAVE CAUSED THE LEAK, RIGHT NOW I PLUGGED THE PRESSURE SENDING SWITCH ITS DOING ME NO GOOD UNTIL CLUSTER IS FIXED CAN ANYONE RECOMMEND GAUGES THAT I CAN PUT IN PLACE OF THE PLUG TO GIVE ME THESE READINGS UNTIL CLUSTER IS REPAIRED OR IS THIS A CRAZY IDEA

Well... fixing the cluster is rather simple... if all it needs are bulbs.

I would remove the cluster and replace the bulbs. I assume the cluster is totally black, right?

This site has a lot of good info on cluster repair. Not a lot of pictures, but there are some if you dig around on some of the different repairs.

lights are on,gas gauge always reads full oil pressure and temp just have lines going through them so i know i have to send it out,i was just wondering if i could put gauges where my pressure sending switch is so i can can see whats going on

I repair all classic corvette gauges, dashboards, tachs, and more. I also have a deep inventory of authentic and original corvette parts. If you need repairs or replacements let me know.
