Good Morning Gurus!

Another busy one for me today.

Casey, you mentioned you had the top off your Vette yesterday. I was thinking about you while I was on vacation, and wondering if it was summertime in Aussieland. Your seasons are the reverse of ours, right?

Have a great day folks!

Yes mate, was quite warm here today, nothing like what it will get to though, its only spring time here. I got sunburned, which doesnt take much in the Australian sun, although we drove about 170 miles. Towards the end of December, through January, and February is our hotest times, it will reach as high as 113*F during that time, and will see temps over 100*F for a 5 and 6 hours a day, and for as many weeks. A friend of mine (owner of the Australian Corvettes forum) recorded some temperatures in summer last year and it got as high as 127*F at his place at about 2pm, i believe that was in the sun, and also recorded 119*F in the shade at the same time that day.

Add in the humidity that can get so high after a brief shower of rain that you can see the moisture in the air (common at night time to see this about 30 minutes after rain and with a perfectly clear sky above), and its quite hot. Average humidity during the day isnt that high, but anything from 70-90% would be the variable.

So case, driving 170 miles took you 1 hour right? I have been very busy between redoing my hallway, chopping firewood, getting the wood, working on getting my vette back on the road, and getting my college straight not to mension my work load. I am tired. I will have to post a pic of the wood I have and have to chop.

DAMN! That's hot! I'd be crying like a little girly man in 100 plus degrees F, with high humidity!

I guess it's all in what yer used to.

I used to live in Pennsylvania. Summer temps in the upper 80s, and sometimes into the 90s and 100s. High humidity sometimes, but maybe 80%.

I moved to Colorado in '96, and went back for a wedding in '98 or so. I couldn't hardly handle the humidity any more.

Shoot, sometimes in Colorado the heat index makes it feel COOLER than it actually is with the lack of humidity.
