Anyone on here going up from the Nashville or surrounding area or going through Nashville that can hook up Friday morning and go together?
I'm going up Friday only but would like to meet some of our guys.
It's my first BG run so I have no idea where to go or what to do when I get there. I'd like to hook up with more C3 guys and gals. I'd love to get together with more from my area. I'm in Springfield, TN. 20 miles north of Nashville off I-24.

Are Gurus invited to the CF Cruise In?

I'll be at Vettes in the Valley this weekend, as will most of my club.

There are some folks around Knoxville going to CI, but I don't know when or if there are any C3ers in the bunch. And I don't think any of them are on here.

Don't know why we wouldn't be invited. I don't play those games anyway. They don't want me there all they've got to say is leave.
Hell I've been thrown out of better places than that. LOL

I went, stayed a couple hours checking out the museum, came home. Next time I think I'll just stay home. Man we need some C3 events.

I've never been, but it seems to be more of a social gathering than a car event. Is that accurate?
Not really my thing either, though the museum is always cool.

We had a blast in Maggie Valley. Made some fun runs on the Blue Ridge Parkway, with a bigass Corvette show in between. :thumbright:

It used to be a car event with a lot of activities. Since I have never made it, I can't assess what it is all about.

But last year apparently turned into a real fist fest...

After going through the museum it just got kinda boring. If you weren't in a click no one really had time for you. Tried talking to some of them and it seemed like I was being a bother.
There were 3 other c3's there but I never saw the owners. They were probably doing like me and looking for the other C3 owners. LOL

Oh, and I was dumb enough to ask what a 'Cruise In' was too. You'd think I had a dead cat tied around my neck. Turns out it's just a car show. Go figure. But I am just an old redneck that never kept up with the new lingo.

Sure wish we had a good 'Car Show' somewhere close to me.

One question though, when you have a couple hundred brand new, off the lot cars entered in a show, how do you judge them? Does it go by how much each individual got off their sticker price?

Kinda what I suspected. Don't think I'll be planning on attending in the near future.

The easy answer is ... I don't care because I'm not a judge.
I understand your point though. All the Corvette shows I have attended have been C5/C6 dominant, many of which are essentially stock. But if it weren't for those, a lot of these shows would cease to exist, so it really doesn't bother me.

And BTW, this one took home Best of Show in Maggie. And no, it wasn't trailered in.

Ugh... the waxers are taking over the world.

I am moving this to Corvette Chat. That's where it belongs.

I have come to the conclusion that most of the big sites are focused on the newest of the new... after that, you become a bastard stepchild. Unless you own a one of one special big block something or another.

I mean, when I was active at CF, there was always this sense of being ignored... and C4 had the most traffic for EVER.

oh, and in this usage, "click" is spelled "clique."
