Does this work? http://www.ecklers.com/product.asp?pf_id=38740&dept_id=1392

If it actually does do what it says, I will get it. :thumbright:

I do follow the rules. I hardly ever speed and when I do its not above 5 MPH P.S.L. Speeding tickets would make my insurance go sky high and I wouldn't be able to have a license. Couldn't afford it. I thought it would be amusing though if a cop tried to zap my plate with a lser gun and he couldn't get a reading and he kept zapping it. Plus, Im interested in the technology as well. Went to the V1 site and read some, googled some info. I found alot of places selling this plate. Researched jamers as well. That would be so complex to make one work....Thats asking for toruble though. I'll stick with my cheap radar detector....Im still interested if anyone does know if this plate does work....................

I dought if it can actually do what it says.
There was a piece on the news about that and they said that it's a mute point here in Mo. because if the cops see you with something like that on they will pull you over for having an abstructed view of the license plate even if it's clear plastic.
on just my opinion it wouldn't work,I've got an old radar gun from the nineties and you can even clock birds and base balls with it.
If this thing was in back and really did jam the signal, al the officer would have to do is point the radar at the front. some jammers can work to dupe signals, but if a person goes fast enough to need that, then the cops can still get you for imprudent driving practices.
The police don't need to produce a time slip to ticket you or convict you. and if you need one of those gizmos, face it,your are already driving unsafe.
You follow the rules now so just keep up the good work, after all you wouldn't buy a new set of tires if you don't need them. see ya buddy daddue

You know what he will do then? Pull you over to go over your car with a fine tooth comb, fine you for having a number plate defuser panel, and then youll wish you hadve followed the rules like i sugest. Putting itmes like that on your plates is illegal in most places i know of, and people are not stupid, you can tell its there as a car drives past cause the plate will go flat white at a certain angle.

Caseys got some heat. So that dont work.....That sux.....I wouldve thought it would though. I know that laser does have to flip off a flat surface. Googled it and spend about 45 minutes searching police radar/lasers. I saw on a site that on darker cars, its harder to get a read....I dunno bout that.....They has diffusers built in hte car but i dunno again............... Ecklers sells this plastic piece that goes over your license plate and from straight on its visable but above, below or to either side/angle, its blurred my this jungle picture....Thought that was pretty kewl!

first off, they MIGHT help some photoradar, but many times, those lenses are focused a lot father away, and at lower angles, than most people realize.

Second - they are illegal in most states.

Ecklers is not immune to selling junk to turn a quick buck... never ever forget that.

If you want to get serious look here [web]http://www.radartest.com/article.asp?articleID=100541[/web]

My .02 traffic enforcement is more about revenue gathering and less about safety. And I didn't buy my vette for the pussy
