I know my ECM ground is suposed to be on the back of my engine block on drivers side. 89 vert. I cant find it looking down in that tight spot. Any suggestions on how to find it? Been looking from top. Should I be looking from bottom? Thanks for any advice.

You might find it abit easier from looking up underneath.

Right. From memory, it's forward of and slightly above the oil filter housing. There should be several wires grounded to the block by a single bolt. I can't remember specifically, but the head of the bolt is pretty large, something like 11/16" or 3/4".

Also there is another single ground wire that runs to the frame in the same area.

you are thinking on two different places, combined into one!

The multi-wire grounding point is on the block/transmission juncture. It's one of the bolts that holds the transmission to the engine.

The other bolt is the ground strap, but it's a solo wire. And yes, it's real big.
