Good Morning Gurus!

Well, I never did start a Wednesday chat. Looks like nobody missed it. Traffic seems to be down the last couple days, at least when I'm on here. (Usually alone... )

I ditched the company vehicle in favor of the Vette this morning. Got up a little early and washed it before I came to work. I left the car wash, and tried to find a back way outta there, and whaddya know? I found a dirt road. So my car needs washed. FAAAAAAAK!

Oh well, at least it was a better drive than usual!

Still waiting to get payments on a couple freelance jobs so I can order my new computer.

The Rockes play tonight in Arizona. I really don't want to start liking baseball, but it has been fun to watch the Rockies play the last week or so.

What's up for today fellas?

Amen to that! My 17" Apple Powerbook has served me well for the past thee years. Lots of hard use. Paid for itself many many times over. But it is starting to show its age.

But it will be a great laptop for my wife to check email and learn Photoshop on.

Yeah, my laptop is 4 years old and its about dead. I need to find an honest person who will fix it at a fair price. It needs the hard drive wiped clean, a new battery, and I think then it will be as good as new....well I hope so any way. It may need more work than just that.

what brand is your laptop?

They are not that hard to work on... a new battery? order that from the mfg. The hard disk? I would consider a new one, laptop drives don't last that terribly long.

Are hard drives expensive? If not then I will certainly buy a new one. The battery is a hard to find item and costs about $130 shipped. Its a high quality computer but has no brand as that is added by the company and I got mine before it reaches that point. If I can get the battery and the hard drive for about 250 then I might have a working laptop after the new year!
