First off let me start by saying I already had a Sposche harness sodered into my boss audio headunit which made this easier having the harness. I cut it all out and this is what I had to work with

Next I sodered in the power and negative. The pink wire is sodered into the negative ground so I can watch movies while driving:rofl:

Very easy install but I already had a stereo so some parts were used over. Its pretty sweat. Love the brightness and ipod integration. Once my back up camera comes in Ill hook it up.

Yea, I can see your point, but the key is audio... you are installing a stereo!

I will be curious to hear one of these systems. I am an audiophile... the Alpine 7998 in my 92 has no internal amp, the best DAC that Alpine had at the time and 4v out of the RCAs.

These types of systems strike me as being jacks of all trades... I really wish it had no internal amp, so there was some room for more audiophile stuff.

As I said, I will be curious to hear one... always up to hearing something new!

You can by pass the internal am. WIth RCA's from amps will bypass the internal amp and can power the speakers. This is how its powering my subs.

I can already tell the difference in sound level possibility going from a 45w max 8rms to a 60max 12rms

everything is clearer and DAMN movies are clear

Install Looks Pretty Good!!

Bogus - you need to fly home to Delaware for a visit, and then I'll pick you up and you can check out the sound quality of a newer style HU.

I will keep that in mind, Don!!!

383 - I am sure the added power helps. Beleive it or not, more speakers blow up from too LITTLE power than too much. When an amp runs out of power, the heat inside the speaker is fatal.

Install looks good - I don't really recommend watching movies while you're driving, though!
