bigmoe | Anyone replace resonator with x pipe on LT1 exhaust? | ||

I just put Magnaflows in place of my stock LT1 mufflers but I'm switching it all back. Love the sound of the Magnaflows even though it's a bit louder than what I expected. We're planning some trips and the wife can't stand the drone on the highway (and to be honest it bothers me too). I'm wondering what the car would sound like if I remove the resonator and replaced it with an X pipe? Not as loud as the Magnaflows? Much louder than stock? Any drone?

I replaced mine with a Magnaflow dual in dual out muffler with a built in X pipe, 3" in and 3" out for both pipes. I am running muffler deleted and really could not tell any difference.

I replaced mine with a X.
Same boat as you but because of some recent engine mods my Corsa had even gotten a little louder than I liked especially around town. Still fine at cruise though. I love the sound of the stock system especially when you get into the throttle. No resonance or drone at all. If I want noise I just open these. http://s274.photobucket.com/albums/jj ... view¤t=MVI_0325.flv |
